Along the shores of Lorn lies the Oban Distillery.
Oban double matured West Highland single malt Scotch whisky. This Western Highland style of malt is epitomised by Oban's gentle sweetness and suprising richness of palate and finish. To underline its sea-laced flavours, Oban's Master Distiller has chosen Montilla Fino. This dry, delicate cask-wood beautifully enhances Oban's distinctively graceful style.
Cask-wood Finish: Montilla Fino The light, dry fragrance of Montilla Fino from Andalusia made its cask-wood a natural complement to the warm fullness of Oban's rich flavours.
Tasting Notes: Oban's West Highland origins speak loudly in an outstanding fruity and pungent sea-breeze of a nose. Sweeter than usual on the palate, rich fruit flavours are nonetheless complemented by a typical briny character. The finish is long...

Advantages: Crisp and refreshing, reasonably priced. Disadvantages: Alcohol should be drunk in moderation.
...Upon the recent purchase (and drinking) of a bottle of Ernest and Julio Gallo Chenin Blanc wine, is was so impressed I have decided to write a review. Noramally I would go for a Chardonnay when drinking white wine so it was a pleasant suprise when I tasted the Chenin Blanc.

As it’s Sainsbury’s Soave a good place to look would be Sainsbury’s then. It’s in the wines and spirits section (no! really?) and is in the traditional straight wine bottle that we associate with the dry wines. The label is plain and simple and the cost is pretty damn good!
A standard 75cl bottle will set you back £2.99 at its normal price, but Sainsbury’s often have offers on the wines and I have seen this on a BOGOF (buy on get one free) before now. Imagine that - 2 bottles for £2.99. When I see an offer like this I always stock up, so I would get 6 bottles at a cost of £8.97 less...
