I purchased two nvidia 8800 GTX GFXcard from CCL, after 6 months i was having major computer problems programes would not run properly, crashes,lockups, failed bootups.

Also,I have noted scratches on the top pf the drive: it suggests that the drive has either been used,or that it became scratched in transit. It works ok,but for how long? Computer parts are susceptible to shocks and they might develop erratic functionality,and CCL does virtually nothing to ensure the opposite. ...

Advantages: 2/3 of normal price high-end laptops Disadvantages: poor customer service, rung for 15min before an answer
...only way forward is for CCL to write to them by post. Got a reply from CCL: "Unfortunately we are unable to contact the bank as this would mean keeping the order on hold... also this is not normal practice for us to contact customers banks... we will be unable to proceed with the order". Sounded almost like a threat!! Called CCL's helpline and their only problem was my Chinese surname!! Once it's confirmed the transaction finally proceeded. PCPro ...

Bad experience. Very bad service when I tried to return the item. Price was low but this does not justify the terrible service. The laptop I bought was faulty plain and simple- it just kept crashing when it was booted up. I paid over £700 for it so I was expecting some decent service. This was not the case. I contacted them to try and return it two days after I received it and they said that I would have to pay for the returns cost even though the ...

...my receipt i traveled to ccl to have this checked and exchanged, this was done with no problem.
After 3 weeks the other 8800 gave up the ghost as well, not before smelling like it was going to set the house alight, again i retuned with the card and receipt and was told that it would be checked before they would offer to replace it.
After 2 days i received a fone call to say that my GFX card had been checked and that they would not replace it as ... ...to take your money but not ready to sort problems out when things go wrong .
I would not recommed CCL to anyone who wishes to have a pleasant time in the world of computing, your best paying a little extra and getting the service that you pay for. ...

If you are thinking of buying from CCL Online think very, very carefully!! The concept sounds good but the practicality is something very different. If your order initially goes smoothly you had better hope nothing goes wrong because you can expect a prolonged argument combined with attrocious customer service this is a toxic mix. The technical support staff come across as Arrogant, Un-cooperative and condescending. The bottom line is that there are numerous companies out there that can offer much better customer service at the same, or even in some cases less price. I have used CCL for a few years and have witnessed them slowly going downhill, and I have made my last purchase from them. Never Again!!!!!!!! ...
