Recently bought 2 pc's from different suppliers so am able to make a comparison between them. First was purchased from Computer Planet. Apart from a delay in shipping because of work overload (!) the pc arrived looking pristine. Plugged it in, 45 secs & it was working perfectly.

CCL on the other hand! Removed the computer from it's packaging & the first thing I noticed was that the drive bay covers on the front were hanging out & that the front of the case was not fitted correctly. Corrected those problems, sat the machine on my desk, plugged in & switched on. Not a great deal happened, realised that the operating system had not been installed! So go to install operating system & find that the DVD drive will not open. Removed side cover to find that the drive was not connected. The wiring had been cable tied together & was 2cm too short to reach the drive so obviously no attempt had been made to connect this. Removed the cable ties & connected the drive, installed OS. Then, obviously, had to install drivers for all the other components in the box. It was during this process that we found that the graphics card had not been inserted into its slot properly & was not functioning either.

After approx 1 hour & a fair amount of corrective surgery pc now works. From my experience I would say that all CCL have done for the money is assemble (rather poorly) some components & ship it out. If you are considering buying from them, don't!. Purchase the components yourself & assemble yourself, at least you'll know it's been done properly.
