CDA MC41 - very disappointed. 1 of 9 Ciao Users found the following review helpful
Rating from cheesedoff1 1 Star ()

Advantages None

Disadvantages Inadequate information about what you can cook and how to use the various functions.

I have just purchased this combination microwave oven and am really disappointed with this product. Unlike its foreign counterparts such as Sharp and Samsung which I previously had for years, this British make comes with very little instruction, nothing to tell you how to cook basics such as jacket potatoes, and no recipes booklet like most other well known brands provide. I had to guess how to cook jacket potatoes. They were done before the time worked out by the oven and were soft and soggy. There's nothing to tell you what to do to get a crisp jacket potatoe. The so called manual that comes with it is badly written and lacks adequate information. I wish I'd stuck to the usual Japanese or German make. Very poor value for my money.

Welcome to Ciao. Rather than ranting about the user manual, how about the controls? What is the power of this main appliance? What was the UK cost price? What is the actual capacity? Are the controls easy to use? As a microwave oven owner = you will never get a crispy skin on a potato. What you'll have to do is half cook the potatoes first in the microwave and then rub salt into the skin, cover with tinfoil and put in a conventional oven - or in this case place the metal tray into the oven over the glass turntable and use the convection setting. I have never found any microwave alone that can product crispy baked potatoes.
