This dishwasher (CDA VW80) has a fundamental design flaw. It's not just me saying that, either. The CDA engineer who visited on two occasions to try and repair it, agreed.
The problem? When you close the dishwasher's door, the low profile of the door's inner skin completely traps any food particles, or liquid residue, which has fallen, or dripped, onto the dishwasher floor, where the door meets the main body of the machine.
Consequently, during the wash, this area remains completely sealed off, so when you open the door after the wash has finished, there is an inch-wide line of muck, which you have no choice but to wipe away, after every wash. It's unpleasant, and worse, unhygienic.
You would think that CDA, who should consider themselves lucky that anyone wants to risk half a grand on an unknown make such as theirs, would want to bend over backwards to help in a situation like this.
Not a bit of it. Their helpdesk staff were fixated on whether I'd damaged my machine using the wrong detergent. As was the terse manager I conversed with. And their area manager promised to call back in ten minutes, but I never heard from him again.
