These bad boys rock!

Advantages: More affordable than the 1000's with almost as much functionality
Disadvantages: doesn't have a moving platter - but i don't think you really need that!

Still decent if your on a tight budget but there are limitations

Advantages: cheap initially, performs well at first
Disadvantages: common faults, not as durable as 1000s
