Pioneer cdj1000 mk3
Advantages: quick change to cd to vinyl emulation its GREAT Disadvantages: only one the sd card slot is for only saving cue points and loops
These DJ decks are in my opinion the greastest the most robust DJ decks in the world. If you know how to DJ you can use these. They have so many features and buttons your mixes will never be off time, my experience with these decks are fanstastic. the best thing i like about these DJ decks are that you can either use them as CD decks so you use the wheel as a search wheel or you can press the vinyl button and then use them as vinyl and use the wheel ...

CDJ 400 AMAZING
Advantages: Everything You Need Disadvantages: LCD Blurs
...doubt when I say that Pioneer own the DJ CD deck market. Like the Technics, the mighty CDJ range has become the standard install for many clubs and an essential buy for many DJs wishing to make the jump from analog to digital. When Pioneer released the original CDJ-1000 and subsequent 800, they ruled the roost, led the pack plus many other euphemisms meaning they pwned the scene. But the competition soon caught up and even surpassed the functionality ... ...anymore. If you're an existing Pioneer user, you'll be right at home, as the Pioneer layout rule book has been read and adhered to. Controls are where you'd expect them to be and the CDJ-400 also has an LCD screen that's just about the same as the CDJ-800 MK2. More on that later. The play/cue, track and search buttons sit neatly in the same locations as other CDJs and work just as you'd expect them to. CDJ-200 users will have no issues at all adapting ...

These bad boys rock!
Advantages: More affordable than the 1000's with almost as much functionality Disadvantages: doesn't have a moving platter - but i don't think you really need that!
I learned how to dj on vinyl but most of my collection was on cd, so had to think long and hard about what i was to purchase before i did. I'm glad i did as almost three years i haven't had to replace or upgrade these decks, and they are as brilliant as they were when they were just a day old. Moving up to the 1000's can be costly, however the 800's do almost as much and prioneer haven't skimped on packing functionality into them. For the price of ... ...suited for both the beginner and the pro. if you do get the chance to play out in a bar or club, chances are they'll have the 1000's installed - stepping up to these will be a dawdle (that means easy!). So what more can i say, they look good, they feel good, they play good, they sound excellent and even taste good (no i'm not that sick). For anyone looking for an excellent pair of cd decks on a medium to high budget i would recommend the cdj 800 ...

Pioneer CMX-3000 Review
Advantages: Same functionality as CDJ-1000 but half the price Disadvantages: None I have found
I have owned the Pioneer CMX-3000 for almost two years now. My dilemma was that I wanted CD decks, but couldn't afford to spend £1,400 on a pair of CDJ-1000MKIII but still wanted the build quality and functions of a Pioneer unit. I believe I have found this with this unit. As well as having an auto cue, it has a built in loop function which basically acts as a sampler. Once loop points have been set it can then be saved into the bank memory of the ... ...use of the unit, I can honestly say that I have never had any trouble with it, and I recommend it to any dj (being beginner, intermediate, or advanced). I believe that with this unit you are getting as much funtionality and build quality as the CDJ-1000 but at a snip of the price! ...
