Advantages: NICE FUNCTIONS AND DOES NOT CONFUSE WHEN IN USE.
Disadvantages: LACKS SOME VITAL FEATURES LIKE THE SHOCK PROOF.

...own case, I have one Sony HD ready TV so I am very comfortable with this particular player. I see this serving quite long for me. Well the manufacturers decided not to put in shockproof may be, it is not like the portable players that are meant to be taken around may be they put these things into considerations but still comfortable with that. ...Have a lot of Sony RCD products similar to this but I still take this one the product of my choice. When connected to a superior speaker, that is when you will get the real sound quality. Lets take a look at the product features: It has a nice CD recorder with mp3 play back. Multi CD player is also available. MY THOUGHT. I will say that its main specs are very limited although it has an MP3 play back feature that really qualifies most CD players ...

Review of Sony RCD-W 100

The Sony is almost music to my ears

Advantages: Great build quality, clear and spacious, good punch to the bass
Disadvantages: Can sound muddled when there is too much going on in the music

Sony have always had a very solid reputation for producing solid hi fi i.e.rarely spectacular but certainly tick all the boxes you would ask for in hi fi. Thankfully this does very little to harm this reputation, the build quality is excellent and certainly is built to last, it is very sturdy and does not look cheap in the slightest. Review of Sony CDP-XE 370

A gem of a player but you need to search for it!

Advantages: Fantastic sound quality, stylish looks, fast access to tracks, easy to use.plethora of useful features.
Disadvantages: Now hard to find-discontinued, Needs a dedicated amp such as the Sony TAFB940 for best results,DON'T lose the remote (See review)

...quailty -this is a sign Sony are serious with this deck. The Fascia is by comparison somewhat minimalist offering track selection via a Jog dial on the right hand side, basic play,pause,stop contols etc and an Eject button. Losing the remote is fatal-you would not be able to select the SACD mode for a compatible disc...which would defeat the whole purpose of it. Ok so what about sound quality? In a word stunning. I noticed a huge jump in quality ...
...I replaced it with a Sony TAFBE-940 which resulted in an even bigger increase in quality especially in standard CD playback. So an all round brilliant buy so far... And the Drawbacks? The main issue is the fact that critical funtions such as SACD mode selection are Remote dependant-this is fine in one sense as it produces an uncluttered fascia but if it's lost or broken you will have a shadow of your lovely machine. Sony RDX-700 CD receiver

Advantages: Elegant, classic and minimalistic design: A beauty
Disadvantages: No CD-Text, plastic CD door

Review of Sony RXD700

Sounds good, as long as you don't move it

Advantages: Good sound quality
Disadvantages: Sensitive to movement

This is a great player with a lot of very convenient features. At the time of pruchasing it cost close to £100 at Dixons, but obviously, as newer models have since been released the price has dropped. Its only downfall is it is very sensitive to movement or being bumped. So if you don't ever move your player, or don't have kids who might jostle the player, it is perfect. I like to sue this cd player at work and as it it was rather lightweight it ...
...get the boxed product it has a sticker on it saying you can upgrade the software to access the radio - not true. The software on the disk won't install - and once you have found the site to download it, the offer is only for the US! Would I buy it again? Yes, it has lasted me over a year and ios still in brilliant condition, and I would reccomend it to anyone who wasn't planning on using it for parties, or around kids as movement affects the sound. ...
