CMS Automatic Backup System Plus For Notebooks 60 GB

Advantages: 7200rmp which is fast
Disadvantages: 133mps isnt too good for fast users

...What is the title all about? well i'll tell you. 0.6GB is only 600mb which was what i had on my old computer a old hunk of crap really. And i thought i would write a review on something other than a laptop or a desktop. With a Reading Rate of only 133mps it is actually really good for only 60GB of hard disk space (dont forget the operating system(WIN XP etc.) dose take up a bit of space but not all of it. 60GB is alot of memory meaning you have 60,000mb of space. Also a note (time for education!) on your computer when you get the (c:/) drive properties you will notice that a 40GB hard drive will show as a 34GB hard drive this is because 1MB is 1056kb and your PC will automatically round this down to 1000kb, 56kb isnt so much but with 60GB of memory it will seem like a large loss, but never fear you computer knows the memorys... ...seems to be the Adobe Creative Suite CS2 as it hasn't been optimised for the Core Duo Processor. I was very impressed with the bundled software and the trial versions of Pages and Keynote are superb. All the software has been designed to be easy to use while still offering professional results. The hardware is just as user friendly. The laptop found and joined my wireless network instantly and already had drivers for my printer already installed. As this is the enrtry level model it only has a 60 GB hard drive. When the operating system, language packs, drivers and demo software are installed you only have 38 GB of space left. You can free more by deleting printer drivers you don't need, trial software and language packs that you don't think you will need (you can always re-install them later on). ...I bought this a couple of years back when I realised that the hard drive in my laptop was starting to slowly disappear and I didn't want to feel too restricted. There were quite a few different external hard drives on the market then and still are, most at pretty reasonable prices, though what made me decide to buy this one is the fact that its made by what I believe to be a well respected company (Maxtor), I decided that I'd rather have a well made and really reliable drive made by a well known, proper brand that offers slightly less storage than one that offers more storage (disk space) but that doesn't offer the such high quality and might not be as reliable. Also, the other thing that made me decide to go for this model is the fact that it comes with backup software, a program called Retrospect 6.0 by Dantz. Now I won't lie... Read review
