A decent 7 incher for under £120

That was contributed by Coby tech support, so top marks for the company there.
The sound is very good, loud and clear. It also has two headphone jacks, which is good if you have friends.
Battery life is reasonable, I think about 3-4 hours, although I've never watched it for this long continuously. It does run the battery down if its turned off with the battery attached, so I always remove the battery when I'm not using it. A spot annoying, but enough to make me break through the apathy barrier and do something.
All in all, I'm very happy with it. Highly recommend it to anyone in the market for one, and let me know if yours still runs down the battery like mine. Or if the little lid over the DVD opens fully on pressing the button....

Nextbase DVD player a real hit.

Advantages: All Region! Very Affordable
Disadvantages: Pricy but worth the money
...I was doing some product comparison. I found a Nextbase DVD player vendor at a local autoshow. Initially, i figured it would be the same as the COBY or other cheap brand that I could find at the local electronics store. This brand is truly unique. The person who was demonstrating the player actually took the player and tossed it on the table! No Skips! I've never seen a dvd player take that kind of abuse.
I was also impressed to see that you could easily mount these dvd players in the car without any problems. I've been to Costco and seen the ones that come with a big bag that wraps around the entire seat of the car. Too much hassle!
Now let's talk about picture quality. These players really win on this one. My old clamshell design player started heating up after 2 hours of play. Not only did these screens stay cool, but I could see...
