This works for me, if Intel command the marketplace with the help of M$ expect prices to be very steep. One thing you do need is a good cooler, and it isn't easy to overclock, but I know a man who has. Mine runs in a 770 chipset board assembled by idiots, the FSB is set at 209Mhz and cpu-NB frequency 1900Mhz approx with Dimm frequency slightly over 800Mhz. Using OCCT mixed test for 20 mins it runs stable, the temperatures are at the moment meaningless ...
...I intend to fix soon. Anyway it was 58C at it's highest. The board I use, an ASUS M3A detected the cpu voltage to be 1.5v, and it ran at 1.37v which is too high. So check your voltages and manually adjust. With a super cooler you could do 1.37 but 1.2v to 1.25 max otherwise. On my board the cpu-fsb multiplier is locked, as is the voltage, but by default set to auto and get 1.37v or higher. All thing considered I am quite pleased with the phenom. ... Read review
