This processor is good compromise for a person who wants a high end processor but doesn't want to pay the high price. Combined with a good system this little guy will run most games very well, however if you don't have a sound card and are using your motherboard's integrated sound expect a slight drop in performance. I regularly play video games, download and play music, video edit, and dabble in a little bit of everything and I have not ever ran into a program that I could not run because of a slow processor. I bought this thinking it was the dogs, well it is, but wish I had bought a x2 dual core CPU for the same price, as this will be more helpful with Vista and other applications. I can't fault this CPU in any of the tasks that I need it for though, it breezes through Quake 4 and Prey with easy, in no way does it bottle my 7900GTX GFX. This is brilliant processor for its small price. In fact i like it so much, im writing this review using it right now. It is really easily over clocked using the right mother board. Personally, i have overclocked to 2.5Ghz using a cheap Gigabyte motherboard and an arctic cooling freezer 7 pro heat-sink fan unit. I have found that it is brilliant for multi-tasking. ...obviously depending on case cooling and heat-sink fan, its not too bad. In my computer i have 3 additional 80cm fans for cooling as well as the heat-sink fan and im peaking at 45 degrees Celsius.
