...cool in comparison to other AMD processors I have had in the past, and with a little research can be overclocked significantly with little heat increase. I currently use a small liquid cooling system on the processor and have had great success with it. As far as for gaming, there are other processors out there that would be better for performance, but you are going to PAY!!! This particular X2 3800+ is for socket 939 motherboards, which are now being replaced by the newer AM2 boards available. However, if you want a good processor upgrade without having to replace your motherboard as well, this processor is a great choice. Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160 / 1.8 GHz processor is helpful for those people who want to buy good processor but in cheapest rate. It is a stripped down low cost version of the Core 2 Duo.
