Do it with AMD!
Review of AMD Sempron 2400+ / 1.66 GHz processor by rally1998

Advantages: Cheap, Reliable, AMD
Disadvantages: Slowish compared to better CPUs

...have been brand loyal to AMD for many reasons, Customer Service is fantastic, The processors are fantastic, the prices for the processors are also...fantastic. Compared to Intel: These processors are here for the budgeters. The people who want computers for rock bottom prices. This processor is head to head with Intels Celeron processor, both of which AMD and Intel of various running speeds for these processors. These processors I believe are better ...
...up their clock speed (ghz) AMD are actually using their brains, by increasing the IPC the processor can get more things done at any one time, the added benefit of this is that the processor can run at a lower temperature becausw of the lower clock speed! this is why we get AMD Sempron 2800+ with a clock speed of 1.66ghz, The 2800+ merely indicates that this would outperform (hence the (+) at the end of the figures) an equivalent processor running ... Review of AMD Sempron 2500+ / 1.75 GHz processor by craig911gt2

Advantages: cheap, reliable, clockable
Disadvantages: stlii quite slow

...problem with this processor and it does take a lot, this is why I have always used AMD and probably always will. The only reason I would change this one is for an AMD 3200 Athlon because even with overclocking you can only take it so far! Definately recommended! ... Read review

AMD's Athlon XP 1800+
Review of AMD Athlon XP 1800+ / 1.53 GHz processor by Dave_UK

Advantages: Good performance for the price
Disadvantages: none, but perhaps a little long in the tooth now.

i bought this chip over a year ago when i built my pc, and i have been happy with it ever since. NB: I apologise for the lack of capitals, dooyoo removed them... >value< this chip offers great value for money and bang-for-the-buck. it is very fast for general windows tasks, and can still handle the latest games when coupled with a fast graphics card. it was cheap when i bought it, and will no doubt be cheaper still now. if you are looking to built ...
...xp around this speed is dead worth it. we're talking £40 quid here. >installation< note : this cpu has a fsb of 133mhz. therefore you will need to use a compatible athlon motherboard that supports the athlon xp and this bus speed. in addition you will need 266mhz (2x133) ddr ram. the chip is easy to install if you have done it before, but if you haven't installed a cpu before then check out a guide online. be careful, as many athlon heatsink/fan ... AMD Xp 1900
Review of AMD Athlon XP 1900+ / 1.6 GHz processor by Da_PoPe

Advantages: Good Prices for speed othered
Disadvantages: Lots of heat

When I first brought this product, it was one of the fastest available at the time. However , as the industry moves on , and new products are always released is easy to forget what cheap and reliable products there were before . and this is one of them. It has a good speed , the price offered, and has the power to do most normal household computer tasks. The main disadvantage of this product is that it runs a 0.18 volt core which basically means ...
...is the last process built around this core it can effect . the lifespan, all new processors are built around a 0.13 volt core making them a lot more cooler and easy to keep cool. I would recommend this processor to anyone building a budget PC or wishing to upgrade from an old CPU however . I would not recommend it to people who are you going to use it for work or home businesses as it has not got the power to do a lot of multitasks. ... Read review

Review of Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160 / 1.8 GHz processor by ahassan_006

Advantages: cheap & good processor!
Disadvantages: 1m cache

Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160 / 1.8 GHz processor is helpful for those people who want to buy good processor but in cheapest rate. It is a stripped down low cost version of the Core 2 Duo. The performance of the processor at stock speed is good. As it is a dual core processor, its multitasking performance is very good. You can compare this processor with other in the following link: http://reviews.cnet.com/processors/intel-pentium-dual-core/4540-3086 ...
...only. But if you want to play games with it.. then the best configuration will be 1. 1333mhz capable motherboard 2. 2GB of DDR2 800mhz RAM 3. ATI 3850 or Geforce 8800gs graphics card 4. Western digital/ Maxtor hard disk 5. case, keyboard, mouse.....etc Installation of the processor is easy. It is same as core 2 duo. So no need to worried about it... ... Read review
