It's an amd, it says its a 64 bit athlon 3000+ but what does this mean in plain english! Well first of all it is 64-bit which basically means that it is compatible with 64-bit operating systems and programs which is not necessary at the moment but in the future it will be. I have had one of these since January, i have had no problems with it at all, it is a lot cooler than the old athlons, mainly due to the new transistor size being 90nm rather than the old 130nm. ...has it failed me even under the stress of crysis. Many consider its clock speed as very poor for a dual core but in my eyes this is a gem for overclocking. Being a AMD fan i felt that Intel was wiping the market with there dual cores and quad cores. AMD was giving me no reason to stick by them.
