The processor runs without any hesitation or lag, it has plenty of overclocking facilities if you wish to push more power out of your mahcine, which i decided not to, but as a test i did overclock it to 3500 which out any problems, ...

Why I would use an AMD sepron over A pentuim 4
Review of AMD Sempron 3100+ / 1.8 GHz processor by
lowerboscadjack
Advantages: Good value for money, Can take a lot of stress, doesn't warm us as much as other processors
Disadvantages: Not a very high Clock speed
I have recently up graded from an old Pentium 4 (@1.4ghz) And I will never turn back, The Pentium 4 I was using is slow, old and gets very hot under stress.
Since I bought the Sempron, my computer core temperature has not reached over 50 degrees Celsius. This is good because it keeps it good and stable.
The Pentium 4 which I used to use would become unstable because it would over heat (by the way, I have only had to replace the mother board as ... ...The installation of the Sempron is about the same as every other processor in the world, it helps to know what you are doing, or get a professional to do it for you. If you know what you are doing then it should only take around 10 minuets to put in, depend on the ease of access to your motherboard. A computer shop (such as PC world), should be able to fit it for you and tidy up your system for a minimal fee.
In my opinion the Sempron isn't the ...

3700+ or 3.7+ ???
Review of AMD Athlon 64 3400+ / 2.2 GHz processor by
Lewis_UK
Advantages: Actual Speed, Overclockability, Heat, Cost
Disadvantages: Low Clock Speed, 11x multiplier, no dual core, No heat pipes on cooler
...at 2.2 Ghz, however the AMD Index rating rates it at 3700+. This is the equivlent roughly of a pentium 4 or an Athlon Thunderbird at 3.7 Ghz. AMD rates this at 3700+ because it does more instruction per cycle (1 cycle = 1hertz) than the other two processors. The new San Diego cores use the new DSL (Dual Stress linear) and the 90nm process, which makes it more efficient and faster than the old Winchester cores. The 939 socket features the AMD onboard ... ...for the 3000+ or 3500+, then if you need dual core I suggest the 3800+ X2. Until the price of the dual core comes down I suggest this product. Now I'm off to try the new AMD AM2 socket which features 940 pins. Reviews to come soon.
