I've had this processor for nearly two years now, and following a cost benefit anaylsis, I still don't see the point in upgrading. It's a perfectly capable processor, and teamed with 1GB of memory, it performs well. Theres not a lot to say about this processor, and what will be said will be extreamly boring. ...style interface meaning it is only comaptable with socket 478 motherboards(Though i believe you can buy an adapter for 478 chips to make the work with socket LLG775 motherboards - the newer but not newest design). This is brilliant processor for its small price. In fact i like it so much, im writing this review using it right now. It is really easily over clocked using the right mother board. Personally, i have overclocked to 2.5Ghz using a cheap Gigabyte motherboard and an arctic cooling freezer 7 pro heat-sink fan unit. I have found that it is brilliant for multi-tasking. ...obviously depending on case cooling and heat-sink fan, its not too bad. In my computer i have 3 additional 80cm fans for cooling as well as the heat-sink fan and im peaking at 45 degrees Celsius. The only disadvantage i can see with the CPU would be the L2 cache size. At only 1GB its not as fast as the Core 2 Duo CPU's but at this price its worth it. ... Read review

Disadvantages: Ideally needs Vista 64 bit but few software compatibility probems

Intel have really got it right with this CPU. It was easy to install and runs like a dream. To take real advantage of the power of this CPU it really needs the Vista 64bit version and there are few software compatibility problems now so it is worth taking the plunge.
