Ok! so we are going to do a little comparison betwen sempron 2800+ and celron D335. They bouth have difrent dets of instruction for example celeron D has MMX ,SSE ,SSE2 ,SSE 3 and Sempron has MMX and 3D now. OK so let's see the difrences : Amd Sempron has 3DNow! technology wich will allow for a faster frame rate, smoother graphics and higher detail in our animation,so it is batter for games; The SSE instructions In Celeron D allows for complex arithmetics ... ...the 3DNow!'s technology capabilities. So in the end Celeron is better for raw computing power , and Sempron for gammers. But let's analyse it some more.Celeron D has a 533 Bus wich allows dual channel memory and sempron has 333 bus with single channel memory.otherwise they have the same L2 cache of 256Kb ,Celeron has L1 of 28kb sempron has 128 kb L1.Celeron D is build on 90nm technology ,Sempron on 130 nm.But sempron has the old cooling problem i had ...

Got no Cache, so cheap you don't need much.
Review of Intel Celeron D 331 / 2.66 GHz processor by
suddenend
Advantages: Very cheap, functionally fast, 64bit, huge heatsink and fan
Disadvantages: Limited L1, L2 cache, single core, no street cred
...for a very long time. Intel seem to think the same as I do, because they provide the CPU with a three year warranty as standard.
As always whether or not you buy this CPU is down to what you want your computer to do. As an all round workhorse it's a great choice, plus it's so cheap you could replace it quite quickly if you need more speed and not feel you had wasted your hard earned cash. Of course it may not be around for much longer, the CPU market ... ...As a second hand buy it's not really worth it, unless you are being given it for free with a motherboard or something else.
Incidentally, I haven't a clue what the overclocking possibilities are with this chip, my motherboard doesn't really support those features, so I can't experiment. It may be that with the right platform you may get far more out of the Celeron D331 than I have. ...

The Core 2 Duo e6400 has many good features:

Great, fast, cheap
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 / 2.4 GHz processor by
mop591
Advantages: fast
Disadvantages: hard to think of one
This intel dual core processor with 2.4Ghz speed (total speed of 4.8Ghz) with a 2MB Cache can handle an awful lot of demanding programs runnning at once and for the amazingly low price its a very good processor. This processor is also compatable with 64 bit computing.
It has an LGA775 Socket which is compatable with most motherboards (up to you to check these things) if you are looking to upgrade or build your own pc. If you are looking to buy a ...
