Athlon XP 2.2ghz
Review of AMD Athlon XP 3200+ / 2.2 GHz processor by avidgamez

Advantages: Cost effective, stable and easy installation
Disadvantages: Will struggle on the very latest generation of games

If you need a fast chip for day to day work and some low to medium level gaming this is the chip for you. It runs at a very low and stable temperature even under load, which will improve the stabilty of the chip. It also is very easy to install, including a installation guide. If you want a budget processor for gameing however this still is a good choice, it will smoothly run most games apart from the latest games such as DOOM 3 or F.E.A.R. But if ... Read review

Athlon Xp 2800+ - Still very nice
Review of AMD Athlon XP 2800+ / 2.08 GHz processor by mattsouthern

Advantages: Quick, Never an error, Very affordable
Disadvantages: NONE!

...not come with the official AMD heatsink and fan but then I really didn't want that anyway. I always find these certified fans too noisy so I bought a Zalman CNPS6000-CU AMD cooler. If you have seen these then you will know they are not your typical heatsink and fan. They have a huge surface area and a large fan running at a very low RPM. This makes for efficient and quiet cooling. The CPU runs at around 55C and if you are playing games or a CPU demanding ...
...Since I have had this CPU for such a long time I would have expected to be playing games now where my system would struggle but this is not the case. I can still play the latest games such as Doom 3 and still have perfect game play. I think this makes it excellent value for money. I think I am only going to replace my current system when the new Athlon 64s come down in price and when performance is considerably more because even after 18 months I ... Read review

A great alternative to pricey Pentiums.
Review of AMD Athlon XP 3000+ / 2.1 GHz processor by Notorious-Biggles

Advantages: High performance.
Disadvantages: A tad expensive now in comparison to other more recent processors.

...saddens me. You see AMD processors are every bit as good, sometimes better. Although the processors are all fully compatible with Windows and any other PC software, they work slightly differently inside. That is why the true speed of this Athlon is only 2.1 GHz, but it is as powerful as a 3 GHz Pentium 4. That is why it is branded as a 3000XP. I have this processor in my main computer. At the time it was just about the most powerful processor available, ...
...more technically minded, most of the 3000XP processors are good overclockers. On an Abit NF7-S I achieved speeds that give close to a 4000XP rating. The increased cache memory over the old Thoroughbred core Athlons gives a performance increase of between 5 and 10% depending on the application being run. Socket A is now an old platform, but the upside to that is that it generally is cheaper. Of course, if you want a cheap system then a 2500XP is ... Read review

Intel Dual-Core Xeon 5130 / 2 GHz processor
Review of Intel Dual-Core Xeon 5130 / 2 GHz processor by owais997

Advantages: ideal for intense computing environments
Disadvantages: none

...unbelieveable performance and The Dual-Core Intel Xeon processor 5100 series is ideal for intense computing environments, 32-bit and 64-bit business-critical applications and high-end workstation and Analysis in my mind Dual-Core Intel Xeon processor 5100 series-based platforms are expected to deliver up to 2.25 times the performance and 2.35 times the performance/watt of previous-generation dual-core Intel Xeon processors and realiable performance ...
