If you have seen these then you will know they are not your typical heatsink and fan. They have a huge surface area and a large fan running at a very low RPM. Although the processors are all fully compatible with Windows and any other PC software, they work slightly differently inside. The increased cache memory over the old Thoroughbred core Athlons gives a performance increase of between 5 and 10% depending on the application being run.
