Q6600 2.4GHz CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad
Review of Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 / 2.4 GHz processor by
kathymoger
Advantages: Blistering speeds
Disadvantages: Ideally needs Vista 64 bit but few software compatibility probems
Intel have really got it right with this CPU. It was easy to install and runs like a dream. To take real advantage of the power of this CPU it really needs the Vista 64bit version and there are few software compatibility problems now so it is worth taking the plunge. I've never seen software install so quickly on a PC as with this processor and running Windows updates, background tasks, processor hungry games etc. just doesn't have an impact on the ...

Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 / 2.66 GHz processor by
mazuk88
Advantages: Fast clock speed / Good amount of lvl2 cache
Disadvantages: Could balance out workload onto both cores a bit more
...may know this is an Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 / 2.66ghz cpu, It has 2 cores on the one chip. it runs with 64-bit architecture which then opens up a whole new world of 64-bit operating systems for tommorows technolodgy...this along with the fact it has 4mb lvl2 cache makes superfast repsonse rates to programs and files i have also noticed that their are not so many "cache misses" to which i expected so this pleases me the most :D
The only downside is ...

cheap but good processor!
Review of Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160 / 1.8 GHz processor by
ahassan_006
Advantages: cheap & good processor!
Disadvantages: 1m cache
Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160 / 1.8 GHz processor is helpful for those people who want to buy good processor but in cheapest rate. It is a stripped down low cost version of the Core 2 Duo. The performance of the processor at stock speed is good. As it is a dual core processor, its multitasking performance is very good. You can compare this processor with other in the following link:
http://reviews.cnet.com/processors/intel-pentium-dual-core/4540-3086 ... ...only. But if you want to play games with it.. then the best configuration will be
1. 1333mhz capable motherboard
2. 2GB of DDR2 800mhz RAM
3. ATI 3850 or Geforce 8800gs graphics card
4. Western digital/ Maxtor hard disk
5. case, keyboard, mouse.....etc
Installation of the processor is easy. It is same as core 2 duo. So no need to worried about it... ...

TheTechGuy0
Advantages: Good clock speed, good video decoding and overall reliabilty

The Core 2 Duo e6400 has many good features:
It uses a 1066 MHZ FSB (front side bus) for a fast link on the motherboard.
It 2 cores running at 2.13 GHZ
The Processor is very EASY to overclock; just be careful.
It is energy effecient and runs cool, unless you over clock
Not as good features:
2 MB cache low compared to others in the range

Pentium 3GHZ....Not fast enough!!
Review of Intel Pentium 4 3 GHz processor by
reviewermarc
Advantages: Price, value, performance, ease of setup
Disadvantages: Extreme performance outruled, long term viability...
As one of the more standard - mid-high end processors available today, the 3ghz chip is useful for most average and moderately demanding programs and games. When coupled with the correct memory, and graphics card you cant really go wrong, however for users who demand the most out of their system it doesnt really fit the bill.
For a start, its an excellent product if you're on a budget, weighing in at less then £120 nowadays its a real bargain. BUT, ... ...fanatics who loves to squeeze every last bit of juice out of their system, its not ideally a system you'll want to be purchasing soon, considering 4GHZ+ chips are now available.
Works like a dream for me, easy to install, easy to follow the instructions, and help from intels website like ive never seen.
The games I tested using it: DOOM3, FarCry, and 3dMark cpu tester.
All came out relatively well, but thats considering i have a 9600XT graphics ...
