Intel Pentium 3
Review of Intel Pentium III 1.13 GHz processor by NAZGUL

Advantages: overal performance and durability
Disadvantages: costs more than rival

...people with a Celeron class Intel Processor to upgrade and reep the rewards of the much faster speed without having to out lay any cash on new ram, or a new motherboad. in many cases its also much more easy to overclock safley than any AMD chip as they tend to run much hotter well in truth damn hot and need many fans to cool them which if you ask me sort of beats the point of the lower price they charge for them and AMD chips do not tend to be as ...
...because intel spends that extra it charges on research and development which in the long run pays off, I know many people will say but AMD are faster and in some cases this is true but most softare today does not even use the newer commands in these chips but as people move to newer processers and software writers make better use of the newer commands you will find that these instructions will be used and so the chip will run even better with the ... Its just BAD
Review of Intel Celeron 1 GHz processor by Iceblade

Advantages: Cheaer than other processor of the same speed and can be over clocked to a slightly faster speed
Disadvantages: Cheap (depending on whether you find cheap an advantage or disadvantage), cnat cope with what its counter parts can!

...can really say about an intel celeron, except do not buy one. Thy are cheap garbage - i mean ok if you cant afford great hardware for your pc then thi maybe an option, or if you only use your pc for word processing, etc, aside from that its not very good for anything. My intel celeron 333MHz with MMX has caused me nothing but trouble. One fact of them is that many dont run at the speed they are stated. In tests they have the ability to but mine ...
...clocked if you have the know how but i am seriously agaisnt it. When comparing mine to my friends Pentium 2 350 (i think it was 350 maybe 300) his was able to run a great deal more programs without his even crashing once. My processor is now under such strain from my programs it crashes every time more than four are running (aside from the compulsory ones in the task manager screen). I would seriously advise against a perchase of a celeron - for ... Read review

entry level
Review of VIA C3 750 MHz processor by NAZGUL

Advantages: its cheap
Disadvantages: its not a power chip

VIA Technologies Cyrix III This processor is designed for entry level pcs but has much more to offer than Intel’s Celerons but fails short of AMD Durons but it does offer more performance than people think with both MMX and 3Dnow as well as being the first processor to offer 0.13 micron beating the others to this crown and the fastest model is 833 but the prices are very cheap and for those who want a basic machine for ... Top Range Dual Core Processor
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 / 2.13 GHz processor by TheTechGuy0

Advantages: Good clock speed, good video decoding and overall reliabilty
Disadvantages: Only 2 MB cache

The Core 2 Duo e6400 has many good features: It uses a 1066 MHZ FSB (front side bus) for a fast link on the motherboard. It 2 cores running at 2.13 GHZ The Processor is very EASY to overclock; just be careful. It is energy effecient and runs cool, unless you over clock Not as good features: 2 MB cache low compared to others in the range I found this processor to be excellent; it was extremely fast. With this processor there is no worry of ... Read review

Great, fast, cheap
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 / 2.4 GHz processor by mop591

Advantages: fast
Disadvantages: hard to think of one

This intel dual core processor with 2.4Ghz speed (total speed of 4.8Ghz) with a 2MB Cache can handle an awful lot of demanding programs runnning at once and for the amazingly low price its a very good processor. This processor is also compatable with 64 bit computing. It has an LGA775 Socket which is compatable with most motherboards (up to you to check these things) if you are looking to upgrade or build your own pc. If you are looking to buy a ... Read review
