I brought this processor approximately 2months ago as an upgrade from my old processsor. I found that for the money it was a tremendous upgrade, and that it was just right for a computer with graphic design capabilities, The processor runs without any hesitation or lag, it has plenty of overclocking facilities if you wish to push more power out of your mahcine, which i decided not to, but as a test i did overclock it to 3500 which out any problems, ... Advantages: Good value for money, Can take a lot of stress, doesn't warm us as much as other processors
Disadvantages: Not a very high Clock speed

I have recently up graded from an old Pentium 4 (@1.4ghz) And I will never turn back, The Pentium 4 I was using is slow, old and gets very hot under stress. ...The installation of the Sempron is about the same as every other processor in the world, it helps to know what you are doing, or get a professional to do it for you. If you know what you are doing then it should only take around 10 minuets to put in, depend on the ease of access to your motherboard. ...processor is actually called an AMD Athlon64 3000+, which means that it is the equivalent to an Intel 3Ghz. But it is called here a 2Ghz because AMD are better than Intel and their processors can handle more information, so can be slower, and therefore cooler. ...Intel, it will use the AMD 64bit chip (what this has) because Microsoft said to Intel that the new XP would ONLY work with the AMD chip because it was better!! AMD rates this at 3700+ because it does more instruction per cycle (1 cycle = 1hertz) than the other two processors.
