Oooerr ... My attempt at a technical review

Advantages: Good picture quality and refresh rate. Nice price.
Disadvantages: Big, Heavy, Not truely white or black ever.

Acer AC 713b A few weeks ago my laptop got taken away by my technical adviser (my daddy) because it needed various parts replacing. As a temporary replacement, he bought my desktop computer down to my university house so I wouldn't be left computer-less - I do use it for 'study' after all! I bought it around 2 years ago, from Staples, as part of an Acer package that included monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speakers as well as the main computer box ...
...just like all the other Acer parts of my computer. The top left corner bears the Acer logo, and the top right corner has the model number AC713 (thankfully, or I wouldn't have known precisely which product I was reviewing!) There is a line of four small buttons in the center bottom of the casing, and a larger power button and light to the far right. From left to right the buttons are 'Exit'; move left and 'brightness' move right and 'contrast'; ...

Taxan Monitor - The Death Star Monitor

Advantages: Robust and Solid
Disadvantages: Heavy

Taxan Ergovision Monitor 735 TCO99 Introduction The oldest looking piece of kit I use at work is this monitor. Taxan is part of a Japanese electronic company who have been around since 1981 and have been a leading producer of monitors. This CRT (cathode ray tube) monitor works by basically firing electron beams through a vacuum at a screen to produce a picture. This picture is what we see when we look at a monitor. Specs ...
...1204 resolution • Mini two port USB hub attached to Base • Manoverable Base • Weighs 20Kg Personal Experience This monitor is a bit old school for me, it weighs as much as a death star if your trying to move it and nearly takes up as much room as one to. The display itself is still in good condition considering its age, its as good as any brand new CRT you will get so it’s certainly lasted. You have all the normal options on a monitor ...

Love your eyes and be spoiled with Samsung SyncMaster 793MG

Advantages: Long life, 1280 x 1024 max resolution, 0,20 mm dp, etc.
Disadvantages: Need more space to place.

...while, since I have this Samsung SyncMaster 793MG, that known as Magic Green. Now, about it dimension. It's big as usual monitors if compared with LCD monitors, so let's say it's really need more space. It has a flat monitor display, size at 17'' (16"/40,6 cm), and 0,22 mm horizontal dotpitch. The colour is black, so gothic match with my CPU case. It support of 1280 x 1024 in max resolution. But, I don't recommend you to use this resolution, because ...
...see the text in this resolution. If you has it plugged in to your computer and electricity, try put your hand nearly it's visual display (where the picture displayed) without touching it. You will feel the ion comes out. It been said that the Ion has a positive function to keep our health. In my place, the electricities are instable and many electronics goes broke easily. My CPU is using a UPS, but not with the monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 793MG). ...

NOT impressed and wont recommend a HP7540 monitor

Advantages: Good colour display (WHEN MONITOR WORKS)
Disadvantages: SERIOUS problems with the buttons in front of monitor.

When I bought my HP 7540 montitor i was under the impression that HP is supposed to be a good brand. I should have known better to be honest. My monitor is not even 2 years old and i have a serious problem. The settings that come up when pressing the menu button on the monitor just comes up by itself and obviously stands in the way of any or every window in the background. Obviously that means i cant do ANYTHING unless i manage to get rid of that ...
...the problem in the end? I had to place a small toothpick between two of the buttons (the two on the left hand side) thereby "keeping them slightly apart" and the problem seems solved (for now) I doubt whether i will get a HP again. ...
