HP Pavilion Monitor-great value

Advantages: Clear, crisp picture
Disadvantages: Heavy, HUGE, not flat

This monitor came with my HP Pavilion M50 computer system I bought some five years ago. It's a 13 inch monitor and is, of course, made for the HP Pavilion M50 system, but is compatible with other towers. (duh) First off, for the whole system, we paid $99.99 for the whole system. You can buy the monitor, which is 6 years old, for about $25 now. It features detachable external speakers, a microphone (in the top face), an on/off button, four different ...
...and a swiveling base which allows you to move the monitor up and down for better viewing. In this day and age, this monitor is very DEEP. It measures 16 inches deep, making it difficult to fit into many computer desks. With the speakers attached to the sides of the monitor, it is 20 inches wide. It is also 15 inches tall, including the base. It is quite large and heavy. So far, I have logged approximately 7500 hours with this monitor and have had ...

NOT impressed and wont recommend a HP7540 monitor

Advantages: Good colour display (WHEN MONITOR WORKS)
Disadvantages: SERIOUS problems with the buttons in front of monitor.

When I bought my HP 7540 montitor i was under the impression that HP is supposed to be a good brand. I should have known better to be honest. My monitor is not even 2 years old and i have a serious problem. The settings that come up when pressing the menu button on the monitor just comes up by itself and obviously stands in the way of any or every window in the background. Obviously that means i cant do ANYTHING unless i manage to get rid of that ...
...the problem in the end? I had to place a small toothpick between two of the buttons (the two on the left hand side) thereby "keeping them slightly apart" and the problem seems solved (for now) I doubt whether i will get a HP again. ...

Great picture quality, big quality , BIG SIZE

Advantages: fantastic picture quality
Disadvantages: very deep, make sure you have a deep desk

This is a fantastic standard monitor for anyone. Business man in the office or an internet surfer at home. It has a screen size of 16". It comes with free speakers which plug simply into the power supply for the monitor itself and are of substansual quality for a freebie! This monitor however is is pretty large. You will be struggling if you have a desk which doesn't go back very far. It has a depth of 45cm. It comes in an atrractive silver/blue ...

hp monitor revolution!

Advantages: Simple to use; high quality resolution; tough; versatile, etc
Disadvantages: Heavy; bulky; large; takes up alot of space, etc

The hp pavilion mx70 is a fantastic computer! This is because it is versatile, tough, good quality and has a fantastic monitor resolution. However, I think that the main disadvantage with this monitor is that it takes up a lot of room, as it is extremely large. Also, it is heavy and hard to carry - by my standards anyway. It has a fantastic speaker at the top of the monitor, which in turn, produces good quality sound and I find it is very useful ...
...with them too. The brightness of the screen can be adjusted by pressing the button on the left side that has a small image of the Sun. The contrast can be adjusted by pressing the button next to the brightness button (right) - half of the image is a shaded circle. This monitor/screen is perfect for the beginner or experienced computer enthusiast, with its simple-to-use fuctions. It represents excellent value for money. ...

A Reliable monitor

Advantages: Reliable, 17inch screen, no flicker
Disadvantages: unavailable to buy, quite large and bulky, old

I have had this monitor for 5 years and it has not once caused me any problems. It is the most reliable thing on or attatched to my computer. I have even dropped this monitor and it didn't break. It is very sturdy and stable and is very easy to adjust with a easy to access menu which is really easy to navigate. There is a small button on the outside of the screen which allows navigation around the adjustment menu. There are three tones of colour ...
...a plug and play device so no installation. It handles resolution changes without any trouble at all and works best at 1024x768. I have had no problems reading anything on the screen and it has never cause me to have a headache. Also this monitor has the energy star which means it is energy saving and it also complies with TCO regulations which means it has no radiation danger, which is nice. I find the screen very clear and easy to read information ...
