No tech specs, just a nice overview

Advantages: Huge, high resolution, clear and bright
Disadvantages: Fiddly OSD and sizing

As the standard monitor that came with my Mesh PC, this has done me proud. The totally flat screen is a great feature I never knew I needed until I used other PCs after this - it has a surprising effect on how clear the whole screen seems. The monitor can support amazing resolutions without objects shrinking too much on the huge screen - I have it on 1280x1024, but it cna go as high as 1600x1200, still keeping clarity, never flickering, etc. Graphics ...
...odd "Super Bright Mode" turned off, and whites can even burn the eyes for a second with it on. That said, most monitors nowadays do all of the above, and with flatpanel technology getting cheaper, the days of 18" cubic boxes on a desk top are numbered. The only niggles are that the OSD control buttons are lain out very oddly, and it takes a while for the fingers to adapt. There is a surprisingly exhaustive selection of options - most of which I ...

Review of Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 740SB

Perfectly adequate, but not cheap

Advantages: Picture quality, sheer size
Disadvantages: Weight, cost

This is a big heavy monitor. I have two on my desk and needed help to lift each one onto the desk. The screen size is not as huge as you might suppose. However, I often work at the computer all day and the 2020s give a clear picture even for detailed work. By the way, they're hooked up to a Matrox G400 Dualhead card - whicg works fine under Windows 2000 as long as you have the latest drivers *and* service pack 2. So not for the faint hearted or weak ...

Review of Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2020U

Best BUY

Advantages: Size, quality
Disadvantages: more expensive than most

The Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 72 is a very excellent monitor with good definition and colour range I have had mine for a over a year now, but there is no loss of quality over time. The picture is great for games but I mainly use it for web design. If anyone is look to upgrade any part of his or her system, I would recommend the monitor, as this is the part you see the most! This monitor will cope with anything the computer will display. It may not ...

Review of Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 72

My office monitor

Advantages: Clear, good picture quality
Disadvantages: Still a bulky monitor even though it's a flat screen.

As you can probably tell from the title, this is my Pc monitor that I use all the time at work. When you think of "Mitsubishi" I always think of cars not computer equipment! Design ---------- The monitor is a flat screen monitor with a white plastic edge to it. Even though it is a flat screen it is still quite bulky behind it. It looks like a normal monitor with buttons along the bottom. It stands on a circular stand which is hinged to the monitor ...
...disadvantage with this monitor is that you can not tilt it upwards or downwards, only left or right. Quality ---------- The flat screen measures 17" across which is about 33cm. It gives you a clear, distortion-free picture. When you are viewing a word document the fonts are very clear and sharp. Set up --------- As this monitor is my work one, we had it installed by our It department. Installation didn't take very long and the monitor comes ...

Review of Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 73

Good image quality and cheap to boot

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

I picked up this monitor some time ago and have been using it for over 1.5 years. The iage quality is superbly crips and sharp, presenting the user with an image which can be viewed for very long periods of time. The TUV2 filtering also helps to prevent those of us who suffer form headaches from felling the pinch when using the monitor for prolonged periods. The refresh rates possible with this monitor leave a bit to be desired but on the whole it's ...
