Viewsonic P815s break Often
Advantages: Big, Clear Disadvantages: Many break
Viewsonic monitors are among the best monitors I have ever used. I really enjoy their picture quality and used to enjoy stability. I bought over 50 different Viewsonic monitors for companies I work for. I really felt safe with Viewsonic until I bought my P815 21 inch monitor.
My situation
When I first bought the Monitor, the picture quality was great, refresh rates were incredible. I loved it. A couple of months later, my monitor broke. I took ... ...or refund.
Customer Service
Viewsonic has very poor solutions to their problems. Their customer service hardly ever call you back when they say they will. Their main solution is to wait wait wait wait. They are not open minded to other solutions and blow you off. P.S. One of the customer service reps reported to me that the P817 model breaks down the most. ...

Monitor Battles:CRT goes head to head with LCD
Advantages: Very sharp clear image,No ghosting,Cheap Disadvantages: Large ,like all CRTmonitors
...a refund.....Next plug in the Viewsonic Ultrabrite E70f+ and what a difference!!!!! ........Bright ,Sharp image with intense colours . This meant that the traditional disadvantage of CRTs ie flicker was totally unnoticed. The Quality of the image made up for the disadvantage of the increased size of the monitor
In the end I kept the Viewsonic E70F+ monitor and have not regretted my decision for one moment. The technical specification of the monitor ... ...then your choice is limeted by other factors. If not then at least 'test drive' the two systems before you make a decision.Certainly the Viewsonic Ultrabrite E70f+ is a star performer if you choose a CRT system and in it's silver and black livery it's 'Dead Smart' on any desk. ...

Great Monitor
Advantages: Price, Quality and Reliability, Ease of Use Disadvantages: Entry level monitor with somewhat lowered resolution / functionality comparing to other Viewsonic monitors
For years Viewsonic has been known to produce the top quality monitors that looked great but worked even greater. However, with such quality and reliability, also came a hefty price tag. Thus an average home or small business user that was on a tight budget had to look elsewhere if he or she was to be able to afford a 19" monitor. Furthermore, Viewsonic monitors were also known to be able to hold quite stunning resolution and DPI (higher resolution ... ...users cried for the name Viewsonic for a different reason. Ever since Panasonic went out of business of making a regular screen (CRT) monitors, Viewsonic has been known and often referred as a Cadillac of monitor screens. Thus many people wanted to own one from a simple point that they were great workhorse monitors which rarely if ever broke or malfunctioned. However, many of such users were not ready to pay the high price tags associated with the ...

Space Saving Monitor Screen
Advantages: Short Depth, Quality, Reliability, Image Crispnes Disadvantages: None Noted
...the quality is concerned, the Viewsonic has been known to be a leader in monitor production, leading brilliantly with the look of their product, the iron clad quality and stunning crispness of images and graphics. Bundled with easy to use on screen programmable menu and a stunning 0.22 DPI horizontal and only a 0.14 DPI vertical and a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels this monitor is a definite beauty. For those of you that are newbies to ... ...As far as serviceability, Viewsonic is known to produce relatively maintenance free and relatively worry free monitor screens. Ever since Panasonic went out of the business of building regular screens and started concentrating entirely on LCD screens, Viewsonic has been widely acknowledged as a Cadillac of regular (CRT) monitor screens. Coupled with three years manufacturer's warranty you can rest assured that you are buying a piece of mind that ...

Durable Monitor
Advantages: Good Viewable Area and decent resolution Disadvantages: Heavy, that's about it
The ViewSonic monitor is well build and has an easy to use menu system. The overall viewable area of 16” is well worth the purchase. I purchased the monitor over 3 years ago and it is still going strong like when I first took it out of its box. It has lasted me through a university course, so it’s very durable and strong.
There are many advantages of the monitor, one being the high resolution is can handle and the refresh rate, perfect ... ...to choose from in the menu system, rotation, size, pincushion and also degauss. These features just add a little extra value to the monitor.
A disadvantage of the monitor is that it is quite heavy, this is maybe to be expected from a 17” monitor, but I have lifted lighter ones. Overall I like this monitor and just hope it will last me at least another three years. ...
