Advantages Great picture quality, price
Disadvantages after a year or so, high pitch whine occasionally, heavy!!
I purchased this monitor 2 years ago because I was building my own computer required a high end monitor (at the time) due to being an avid gamer! As soon as I turned it on I knew It was money well spent, at 0.24 mm dot pitch this monitor is crystal clear! I decided to purchase a CTX because of a 17" monitor a fellow family member had, and remarked on how good the clarity of the monitor was and also the customer service, which is also important to me in purchasing high value goods. I have noticed as with the older 17" however, periodically I can hear a high pitch frequency whine emanating from the monitor occasionally. To which I have to sometimes give the monitor a wiggle or change the refresh rate, a minor niggle. This is probably due to being in my 20's and able to detect high frequencies, seeing my parents can't detect this whine! The monitor control menu is very easy to master and use with the + and - defaulting to darkness control. I have found on the odd occasion of discolouration in the corners of my screen that fiddling with the purity settings in the relevant area resolve this problem with ease. The only other thing to say about this monitor is that it is rather heavy, not easy to cart about for those LAN parties, make sure you have a strong desk!!! But for the price these days, you cannot go wrong!!
