Advantages: Sharp clear picture, no dead pixels
Disadvantages: Driver trouble with video card

.... there’s even a DOS mode option where you have to change if its in text or graphics. Automatically configures itself the right display rotating itself is necessary and changing the H and V position. the monitor is flicker free and runs ok at 75HZ However there are no drivers with the monitor so I thought it would be already in windows XP, I was wrong. without getting the drivers colors are limited to 16 and a display picture of 800X600, as you can guess it doesn’t look very good. you can download the drivers off the internet or wing CTX to send you one first class. I would seriously recommend this monitor to someone that is looking for a cheap well made 15" TFT.... Read review

Great value 17inch
Review of CTX CRT Monitor 17 by  jimjammy

Advantages: Flat screen with crisp picture
Disadvantages: n/a

...For around £80 this is an great value monitor, I've had mine for just over an year and it works a treat with an clear crisp picture which is great for watching DVD's, Gaming and graphics/web design. You got dot pitch of 0.2mm with max resolution at 1280x1024 @ 61Hz but the best and recommend resolution is 1024x768 @ 85Hz which is great 5***** A lot of people now tend to buy flat(TFT) screen monitors which are great if you need the room but the picture sometimes lags behind CRT's unless you spend £300+, but if you have the room on your desk save your money. It has great feature such as screen reset which if a magnet goes near to the screen and leaves a mark this resets back to normal.... Read review

A good product from a reliable company.
Review of CTX Executive 700F by  wollington

Advantages: Sharp image, Vibrant colours, NO horizontal lines.
Disadvantages: Possible small geometry problems.

...this model, with a shadow mask tube, or those based on Trinitron tubes which use aperture-grille masks. This was the final deciding factor for me, aperture-grille monitors have 2 small horizontal lines which run across the top and bottom of the screen. I was concerned about seeing these during use and them becoming annoying. With the EX700f you don't have to worry about this. I have also had a problem setting the resolution to 1024x768 in windows95. After speaking to a very helpful person at CTX support he believes it to be down to my ATI Rage 128 graphics card and not the monitor. This setting works perfectly in windows2000. UPDATE: Well my monitor has just developed a very small fault. CTX have been brilliant, within 48 hours of reporting the fault I have a brand new monitor sat here. They kept me updated and told me what was going on... Read review
