I have been to the wonderful Sandford Park in Poole, Dorset, three times now. I went twice when I was younger, with my dad and brother and then returned as an adult, in 2001, with my husband and our kids. My husbands mum and dad also came with us and I will base this review mainly on my experiences there in 2001.
##THE PARK##
Sandford Park is set in 64 acres of woodland, close to Purbeck Hills. They cater for all sorts of holidaymakers and their varying budgets.
They offer a variety of holiday homes there, which include one bedroom caravans that sleep 2-4, two bedroom caravans that sleep 4-6, three bedroom caravans that sleep 6-8, then the lodge style caravans that sleep either 4-6 or 6-8, depending on number of bedrooms. Advantages: Varied and interesting countryside with a wide range of towns villages. Disadvantages: conjested roads in summer , tends to close down in winter.
's the smallest city in England to have a Cathedral. The town itself is famous for the cathedral choir. During the month of November, Wells along with other places in Somerset hosts one of the most spectacular night time carnivals. 40ft floats powered by industrial generators travel a circuit of the town with bright lights and sometimes loud music and dancing in cases and tableaus in others. This is a breathtaking sight and is brilliant fun.
Traveling along the A39 we come to Glastonbury, with its ruined abbey and the ancient Tor, and Wyrall hill, the resting place of Joseph Aramather. Glastonbury is one of the mysterious centers of England. It is aid the lady of the lake rests and gave King Arthur the sword Excalibur near to Glastonbury, Arthur himself is said to be buried at Glastonbury abbey. Advantages: You can see where you're shaving Disadvantages: Girlfriend stealing it to do her legs etc
For many years I have been plagued with very sensitive skin. Every day, I went through the pain of razor burn and dryness caused by shaving. I have tried all the shaving gels, creams and potions available, but for some reason, I had never tried shaving oil. To be honest, I thought it was just another marketing gimmick, but now I know it's not. This stuff is good.
The particular Somerset's product I'm talking about is Extra-sensitive version. It comes in a 12ml (0.4 fl.oz) bottle and costs around £2.60. Pricey you may think but no, this stuff is good value. I've been using it virtually every day for nearly two months now and I'm not even halfway down the bottle yet.
