Thermaltake quality in a massive Package!!
Review of Thermaltake Xaser Kandalf VA9000BWS by Dave1508

Advantages: Will Take everything including the kitchen sink
Disadvantages: Could be too big for most Home users

...But thats not the review. Thermaltake has made some outstanding cases over the years and this rates as one of them. If you can't tell from this statement I'm a big fan of the thermaltake brand, and bought one of these to replace my Xaser 3 when they first came out. The first thing to strike home is the dimensions. It is a server sized case, with 10 (or 11 if you remove the drawer) 5.25" bays. 3 of these are taken up by the removable hard drive unit, ...
...and more than enough side window to show off the pride and joy of the installation. One footnote, thermaltake have just released a side panel with a 25cm fan, for those that just don't run cool enough. If you have the space then this is worth the £100 + ... Read review

Cooler Master Cosmos S - Review
Review of Cooler Master Cosmos S by AndrewMB

Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: Nothing

...bag, and then again, inside Cooler Master's own fabric bag which is brown in colour and is strong enough to retain and use in the future whenever the case needs covering. It's the little extra's and attention to detail that makes a lot of difference in my opinion. If first impression's are anything to go by, then this case ticks all the boxes. It's huge, beautiful and demands the attention of any passer by, whether they are interested in computers ...
...bag containing all of the necessary bits and pieces to assemble the case and control the cable management. The plastic bag contains; tie wraps, cable management fixings, screws of varying sizes, 3 1/2 inch fixings, and a motherboard speaker. There is a huge surplus of screws and fixings, so don't worry about running out! To open the case (either side) there is a quick release latch on the top rear of the case that when pushed upwards releases the ... Read review

Smart, cool and quiet.
Review of Thermaltake M9 VI1000BNS by DAkuma

Advantages: Great airflow, Looks very nice, great features
Disadvantages: side door is removable type with thumb screws, not swing door

Firstly, let me point out that I have the window version of this case, which has a very wide perspex side window with vents and options for fit various size fans to the side. It also has a blue LED fan at the back, lighting up the internal components, and in my opinion looks really good when you dim the lights in your room. This version if you look around (I got mine from Laptops & Supplies) is about the same price. Also, there are 9 drive bays. ...
...weeks of Googling to find a case that fitted my exact criterea... I needed it to look smart, a little flashy, but also serious. Tick a box here. Dimensions: I also had a problem finding another case looking like this to be not too deep that it would stick out from under my small desk and dig into my knees. Believe me, most of these style of cases are extremely deep and in my opinion detract from the looks as well as practicalities. This case out-performs ... Read review

Antec Fusion HTPC/ Media centre case
Review of Antec VERIS Fusion 430 -UK by Dancake2008

Advantages: Stylish, Can fit full size GPUs, Easy to set up
Disadvantages: Standard Tri-cool fans are too noisy, VFD display functionality is a bit limited

I have been running the Fusion now for six months with now problems. I am running an Intel e6600, geforce 8600GT and an Audigy soundcard in this case- all fit perfectly and dont warm the case up too much, even with the 3 speed fans set to the lowest setting. The VFD display on the front of the unit works well and it is a variation of Soundgraph's IMON device. The only disappoining part of this is however that the Fraphic equaliser does not seem ...
...Vista Media centre, this is not much use. My main problem with the unit is the noise from the "Tri-Cool" fans; even on the lowest setting they are too loud for a media centre: With the volume down on the TV (ie now at 12.15 with my wife in bed) I can clearly hear them droning away- quite annoying. Fans aside (you can buy much better ones for less than £20) this is a great looking case and it comes reccomended. (NB it can also be used with an MCE ... Read review

Excellent yet unassuming...
Review of Cooler Master Centurion 5 CAC-T05 by dc6118

Advantages: Great design, tool-less parts work, does everything it should
Disadvantages: Front vents clog with dust

I built my computer over a year ago, and decided to push the boat out a and spend a bit extra on a case. After reading some good reviews I chose to go with the Coolermaster Centurion 5 in blue, and am glad I did! I never really imagined the choice of case could make too much difference but this really is excellent. The design is simple and unassuming, yet somehow very classy, the brushed blue aluminium and blue LED's work well. Functionally it works ...
...fiddling with screws on expansion brackets (although the screw holes are there should you wish, but it is very secure) and the drive bay holding clips simply work, I transport the case a lot and have had no slippages. The case includes a rear 120mm fan, which is very quiet but very effective. My only problem is the front vents (surrounding the power buttons and in the empty drive bay holders) which contain a foam for stopping dust entering the system. ... Read review
