Cable & Wireless has now been taken over by NTL. However, the prices are still the same and free internet is not available yet.
This is frankly unacceptable as I would have no problem getting free internet with a BT line.
I joined C&W four years ago when it was Videotron. One of the advantages of cable phones is that installation is cheap or free as long as you are in a cabled area, whereas a BT line would set you back around £100.
The service has been reliable. Although it is slightly cheaper than BT it is possible to get even cheaper rates by going through another telecom provider.
