The other day I reviewed a Cacharel perfume by the name of Noa. Today I want to talk about the other Cacharel perfume I own which I mentioned in that reviews. This perfume is called Gloria, unlike Noa however; I did actually choose to purchase this one on my own accord. I had been in a department store and I had really liked this when given a tester and so tried it a few times and loved the smell. This is one of the first perfumes I ever bought and I still really like it, although I have new favourite I do still use this when I feel the occasion is right.

The box design of this perfume isn't very bright or eye catching but like most of the Cacharel perfumes it has kept to being quite simple and classy. The box is a tall rectangular prism and is made of a purple metallic cardboard. On the front in a darker purple is a big G which is for the perfume name. The perfume name 'Gloria' is written in pink metallic text at the top with Cacharel in silver. At the bottom it says eau de toilette and 50ml in pink metallic text also. On the back of the box is a list of ingredients and some safety instructions. It also has the company address on the back if you need to get in touch.

The bottle of this perfume is one I do like, it is quite a young design but it is nice. The bottle is tall and rectangular just like the box. It is a see through pink coloured bottle so that you can see the perfume level. There is no lid on this it is just a matter of pushing down the top which is similar to 'Noa'. It is a pink top and around the circular top is a silver cylinder. This bottle is one that when pushed enforces a really powerful spray which is good as it saves you having to use a lot and keep spraying.

The smell of this perfume is quite sweet but it is really nice. As the box is opened I almost sense a bit of a vanilla trace smell with some other sweet additions. It isn't too heavy or light it is just right. It is a perfume which I mainly wear in the day time but other days it sometimes smells floral to me whereas some just really sweet and rich. It is a perfume I'd associate more with a younger wearer to middle aged. It is very youthful and the smell is refreshing and not at all heavy and over the top.

This perfume actually has notes of ambergris, vanilla and rose petals, with amaretto. It also has further notes of hibiscus, rosa damascena, white pepper, grey amber and cedarwood. Some others are almond liquor and musk blends. By looking at the list it is obvious why I find it a rather sweet smell and the vanilla is definitely one of the stronger notes as it's the main one I can pick up on.

When purchasing mine I got a body lotion and a handbag sized spray which I love to use but mine was bought in House of Fraser. The body lotion 150ml for £20.50, the body mist spray 100ml for £21.50 and the gift set which includes 30ml eau de toilette, 45ml body lotion, 30ml body mist, 30ml bath and shower oil and this is only £25 which is a bargain and a nice gift. It retails for £37 so you are saving £12.
