Anybody who loves chocolate and lives within the UK will agree that Cadburys chocolate is one of the best. This is no exception when it comes to their Chocolate Éclairs. As per usual there I was sitting at home wanting something for my sweet tooth. I thought about purchasing a packet of Galaxy Minstrels as I really fancied some.

I decided to get off my lazy backside and take the 2 minute walk to my local shop. After having a little browse around, I realised they did not have the usual big bag of Minstrels that I usually buy, so I looked for an alternative. Well I'm no stranger to Cadburys Chocolate Éclairs and as they were £0.99p for a 165g bag I grabbed a packet off the shelf.

PACKAGING
--------------------

The packaging itself is a very tempting purple colour. On the front, placed in the top left hand corner is the 'Cadbury' logo. directly underneath is 'Chocolate Éclairs'. Also on the front is a picture of the sweet, that has been chopped in half to show what they look like.

Inside the packet itself, every single sweet is separately wrapped in a shiny purple and gold foil wrapper. Although I think this is a nice gesture, because if sharing, it means you are not spreading germs throughout the packet, I am still dismayed by such a large UK company using so much packaging when we are in a day and age of saving resources and recycling.

It would be nice if the wrappers inside the packets were paper instead of foil to make them more available to be recycled and good to the earth. I know that my little pieces of foil will end up in a land fill and will take years to decompose. Would nice to see these larger companies doing something themselves to save the earth.

TASTE
-----------

Anyway, enough about my ramblings on major companies not doing their bit to save the earth, lets talk about the actual sweet itself. If you don't know already, a Cadburys Chocolate Éclair is an oval shaped chewy caramel sweet with chocolate in the centre.

On first taste, I can immediately taste the rich sweet caramel. It is chewy at present as they are a bit warm. I have sometimes eaten these cold and the caramel crunches and breaks, I personally prefer them warm and chewy.

As I slowly chew my sweet, I reach the chocolate centre. The chocolate is what you would expect from Cadburys. It is milk chocolate that melts as it slowly heats up with your constant chewing of the sweet. The caramel and the chocolate provide the sensation of pure bliss.

MY OVERALL OPINION
------------------------------------

Another great classic from the wonderful company 'Cadburys'. This chocolate caramel sweet is simply to die for. I've tried many brands of these over the years and nothing matches these. With others, I find the chocolate and caramel never seems to match to taste. Cadburys have got the combination perfect.

Even though I am slightly disgraced by the amount of packaging and the fact it is not widely recyclable (something I hope Cadburys will get round to fixing), I will still continue to buy this product for as many years as it is produced or when I die.

I paid a bargain price for for a quality product. These usually retail at around the £1.35 range, but even so, I am still happy to pay such a price for the quality. The £0.99 that I paid is placed on the packet, so its nice to know that they are on a deal at the moment from Cadburys themselves. If you like these then I suggest you go out and get your packet now as I am sure they will go back to their normal price very soon.

I highly recommend these to anyone who likes them and if you haven't already then you don't know what you are missing out on and still suggest you go out and buy a pack.
