Basically, most humans who've tried it like choccy. The main problem with it, however, is a common one. Cost. Too many chocolate products cost far too much money these days. Now, at the risk of getting all "I remember when this were all fields!" about it (to be read in a Brian Glover-style bad Yorkshire accent), I can recall when things like Galaxy and Yorkie were available for LESS THAN 25p!!!!! At last, the humble Chomp bar hoves into view....
Now, if I remember correctly, the Chomp bar first entered the market when I was in second year at High School, so working it out in my head (subtract, carry the three, square root of 50....) means they first appeared in Dundee stores in 1989. I hope. Anyway, the point is that unlike other sweeties, Chomps haven't changed a bit. They might be just a WEE bit smaller than they were at first, but the basics haven't altered. And the most basic of basics DEFINITELY hasn't altered - 14 years later, a Chomp will still cost you the staggering sum of - 10p!!
So, what do you get for 10p? Put simply, a Chomp is a thick Curly-Wurly without the holes, being a 5 inch or so bar of chewy caramel covered in Cadbury's chocolate. They are actually surprisingly thick and substantial, and it takes a good few minutes to dispose of one through mastication (read that last word CAREFULLY, you mucky pups...). The taste is splendid as you would expect from a Cadburys product, and the caramel dosn't stick too much to your teeth. However, they do have ONE potential hidden danger. If you take one from the fridge and leave it for a minute so that it's slightly less than brick hard, then it seems to take on a slightly different consistency, and gains the ability to yank the fillings from your teeth. Never happened to me personally, but I've seen it occur. After the shock had subsided, the victim needed intense counselling before he could safely purchase even a Fry's Orange Cream. The trauma was just THAT great....
The ingredients list on the cheery red, blue and yellow wrapping gives the usual list of sugars, milk, cocoa solids and so on, while giving a warning that a Chomp may well contain traces of nuts, egg or soya, so be aware you intolerants out there. There's a couple of E numbers in there too, so I suppose it's safe to say that a Chomp isn't really the healthiest of snacks out there.
But then, when it's good and this cheap, who gives a monkeys? Here's a clue - red-haired, beer-swilling, football-loving Scotsman most certainly does not.
All in all, this is a big favourite of mine. Very cheap, quite cheerful, and surprisingly filling, I would recommend that instead of paying, oooh, say 40p for a Mars bar / Double Decker etc, just buy 4 Chomps instead. After all, you'll get four times the fun!

...about. It’s described by Cadbury as ‘The everyday after school hunger buster’, which is a bit strong considering its size (hunger buster = King size to me).
About
‘Milk chocolate with a caramel centre’, don’t you just love the sound of that. 125 calories a bar, 3.4% protein, 67.8% carbohydrate and 19.7% fat, which is about what you would expect, but is still pretty high for small bar weighing about 22grams, not that it’s written on the packet

Well its Cadbury chocolate so no shock when I tell you its creamy and melts in the mouth, but is also brittle enough when you chew it to give you that ‘chocolate texture’ that’s so important. The caramel is simply gorgeous and is a perfect complement to the chocolate. Its quite chewy and can last some time in the mouth creating a satisfying increase level of salvia, which feels great when you swallow. Really nice, if you like chocolate ...

Advantages: Wonderfully chewy caramel Disadvantages: some will find them too sweet
When I think of Chomps one name automatically springs to mind. I won’t tell you who (although as you will see they do deserve to be named and shamed) but I will tell you why. One day when I was a young wee innocent at school (around 14 or so) I was still hungry after my pack lunch so I treated myself to two Chomps and went to join my friends who were hanging around the technology building. I unwrapped the fist Chomp when in swooped She-Who-Shall-Remain-Nameless ... ...a bit?”
Before I had even time to answer (and it would have been no because I barely knew the girl and she had never before said two words to me) her hand reached out and took half (yes half!) my Chomp (Chomps are not meant to be shared)! I was most unamused. Even now I am still seething at her. Every time I saw a Chomp the memory would come flooding back, I daren’t buy one in case SWSRN was lurking around the corner ready to eat it on me. But then ...

Advantages: Soft, chewy, tasty Disadvantages: Quite a small bar
...when my sister got a Cadbury Selection Box for Christmas and I noticed that one of the bars inside was a Chomp. It dawned on me that I hadn't had one of these for years - since I was a child, in fact - and I thought that it would be interesting to try one all these years later.
So let's start with the name: Chomp. For some reason, I find it quite amusing. The word 'chomp' is actually a verb meaning to munch noisily. It has a rather onomatopoeic ... ...shiny wrapper, with red and Cadbury purple dominating and the name, 'Chomp', appearing in chunky yellow lettering on the front of the wrapper.
Okay, that's enough on the packaging, let's have a look at the bar itself. As soon as you tear open the wrapper, you'll notice that the bar is long and quite flat in appearance, with a slightly rough surface. All you see is the milk chocolate outer layer. The inside of the bar is yet to be discovered.

Advantages: Tasty, chewy Disadvantages: Messy, quite hard caramel
Recently, I wrote a review of CadburyChomp and compared it to a Cadbury Curly Wurly. Those of you who are familiar with both will know that they're pretty much the same bar, as both have a milk chocolate outer layer and a caramel centre. Despite the similarities with CadburyChomp, I shall attempt to write a review specifically on Cadbury Curly Wurly....
Up until the other day, I hadn't had a Curly Wurly for years. I used to love them as a child, but for some reason, they are the sort of chocolate bar you grow out of as you get older ? or is it just me who thinks that...? One thing is certain, though, and that is that my taste in chocolate bars has changed quite a lot over the years and, as a result, the Curly Wurly would no longer be my first choice of chocolate bar. But that's not to say it would be my last choice either as I am ...

Advantages: nice tasting caramel Disadvantages: can't really taste the chocolate
the caramel in a Cadbury?s Dairy Milk with Caramel. It tasted a lot like the caramel in a Mars bar. I cannot tell you whether the caramel is chewy or not as I prefer to let each section melt slowly on my tongue. However I do not think that it would be overly chewy as it is quite a soft caramel, not at all like the heavy caramel found in a Cadbury?sChomp. The Galaxy Caramel melts quite quickly on your tongue leaving you with a mouthful of chocolaty-caramel goo. I was a little disappointed as I could not really taste the Galaxy chocolate but the taste of the Caramel was quite distinct.
The Galaxy Caramel is largely aimed at women (but unlike the Yorkie has not launched a downright sexist ad campaign) and I do not think that I have ever seen a man eat one. But I would recommend it to anyone who likes Caramel, particularly those of you who ...
