Crunchie comes in a distinctive golden wrapper, with the word Crunchie written on in big red letters, that look like they’re bouncing around a bit. It’s not overly fancy, but easy to spot on a shelf. It’s normally quite easy to open, which is good cos otherwise your chocolate would melt. Sod it, who cares about the wrapper…
The Chocolate
The standard bar itself (the type I have before me) is about 6” long. I can’t see a weight on the packet, but calculating on the basis of nutritional information, it’s about 42g. No doubt there are other sizes, such as a smaller ‘fun size’ version, though girls may not believe that… ;) Cadbury’s also do things like Miniature Heroes and Crunchie Nuggets, but I find those far too small and unsatisfying. Not that size matters of course. The Crunchie brand has also been spread to dessert pots, cake bars and other products, but here I’m just concentrating on the basic chocolate bar.
Ripping open the wrapper, I find it does have a fairly distinctive chocolate and honey kind of smell. One which is difficult to describe, but recognisably Crunchie. I don’t normally stop to sniff my chocolate though, so let’s skip the foreplay, because I know you’re dying to get your mouth round my nice 6” bar.
It’s described as “Milk chocolate with a golden honeycombed centre”. There’s not much more I can add to that really, you’ve surely all tried one (I hope). Here, let me bite the end off and show you… (Wonders if doing it ‘sensually’ with innuendo will lead to more reads or just look gay…)
Inside is a yellow sugary honeycomb, which for some reason always has quite large bubbles in the middle, but which is finer on the sides. This is coated in a thin layer of chocolate – perhaps, like I said, this is why I like the bar, not too chocolatey and sickly. That said, I was surprised to learn from the ingredients that the centre is only 37%, so there must be more of that Cadbury’s milk chocolate than I thought…
There’s so many ways you can eat it if you enjoy playing with your food. Trying to bite all the chocolate off the outside, leaving just the honeycomb for example. Or slowly sucking it off, which always looks messy but gives a wonderful sugary, chocolately mouthful. Perhaps I’d better leave this kind of description to Brian (kalamazoo), otherwise I’m sure perhaps the ladies will find this more suggestive. Or perhaps cos it’s chocolate you’ll just wolf it down anyway ;)
Not wanting to descend into smut, there’s not too much more to say about this bar. I’m forbidden from listing ingredients, but I should say it contains E442 and E476, it may contain traces of nuts and the milk chocolate is minimum 14% milk solids. I’m afraid it doesn’t say it’s suitable for vegetarians either, but personally I don’t care cos I can’t see/taste any meat in it! Also on the nutritional front, the bar contains 7.6g of fat and a wopping 30.2g of sugary carbohydrate, so it’s certainly not good for you. On the other hand, I suppose you need all that energy when you get down the gym to burn it off…
Tesco.com sell 4 packs of Crunchies for 94p. You can also get 200g bars for £1.15, but I think I would find so much rather sickly.
The only other thing is those annoying ‘Friday feeling’ adverts. I find them really irritating, particularly because I think I should be able to eat the bars on Monday (as I just have!). And now I have to end with a one line insult about Deano. Hmmm so much to say, and just one line… Deano, after this challenge, it’ll be your fault when we’re all as fat as you!
Advantages: Cadbury's chocolate, pleasant taste Disadvantages: Can stick in teeth, usual allergy warnings, not for dieters
As a child, I wasn't all that keen on Crunchie bars. So for years I didn't eat them - there are, after all, many other good types of chocolate available. Then I learned that they're one of my husband's favourite bars, and I also discovered that it's possible to buy them in bags of mini-bars as well as the more usual full-length Crunchie bar. So I bought a bag of the small Crunchie bars.
I tried one, thinking that if I still didn't like it, I could ... ...surprise, it was delicious! Since then, Crunchie bars have been a regular feature of our chocolate collection. • General appearance •
The ordinary Crunchie bars are packaged in golden coloured wrappings, and are about 15cm long. The mini-bars are about half that size, wrapped the same way, and then packed in orange bags which have only a purple stripe and a small logo to inform customers that they're made by Cadbury's. Probably they're familiar ...

...it as a threat. Cadbury is written on the label as the Crunchie is a part of Cadbury, and we are to.
Once we gain access to the inside of the wrapper what do we find, we find chocolate, and why do we find it, because this is a chocolate bar. It is, however, misleading as it’s only a thin layer of chocolate and just below the surface the true nature of the beast is revealed to be a golden honeycomb centre, a centre which is found at the middle of ... ...inspection, and if we are not allowed further inspections we shall shout louder until we get them, I have found that it fits right inside my mouth (sideways). I would assume that this is so I can take a bite, just one bite; I have no wish to occupy the Crunchie. Hmmm the chocolate melts in my mouth, and then I can taste the honeycomb sweetness, if the French had a word for delicious it would be chuncie. If I wanted to, and in the past I have and ...

Advantages: Cadbury redeem themselves after wannabe chocolate break instant crap Disadvantages: very sweet may be too sweet for some
Okay after that terrible Cadbury’s Instant Break Chocolate I had to get that nasty taste out of my mouth so it was time for Cadbury’s to redeem them selves and aid me in this task by way of their Crunchie bar which brings me to the sixth of my ten choccy ops.
Now I have not had one of these in years so I had forgotten how nice they actually are so this was a good start by all means as it was like trying something for the first time as it had literally ... ...these. For the life of me I don’t know why I have not picked one of these up in the last 15 years or thereabouts but as fate would have it I did indeed buy one when I purchased the other nine bars which I bought last Saturday in my local Spar shop for the price of 36 pence.

=[ Note to self … Gabe, I don’t think they are buying it !! ]=

***CADBURYS***
Of course everyone has heard of Cadburys and I?m 100% sure that everyone has had a chocolate bar or another treat made by Cadburys and I?m sure most of you will agree that their chocolate is lovely and creamy and very yummy. Cadburys are famous for using the deep purple colour all of their packaging. They do a huge range of products including Sweets, Cake Bars, Yogurts and more. Cadburys have created many different chocolate bars with many different centres including Turkish delight, Caramel, Double Chocolate, Fruit & Nut and many more.
***PRODUCT PACKAGAING***
The main colour of this yogurt pot is the typical Cadbury?s deep purple colour with CadburysCrunchie on the side of the pot. On the lid to the yoghurt it has a spoon with the thick chocolate yoghurt and the crunchie pieces on top.

Advantages: Delicious taste, great pack size Disadvantages: A little costly.
I purchased this product from my local Tesco for around £1.40 for a 200g bag.
I am such a fan of Cadbury's chocolate & the Crunchie bar that I just had to give these a try!
The bag is purple at the top and has a hang tab which means that these are often hanging up with M&M's etc in my local garage and very convenient to grab them as I walk past to pay for my goods! (SO tempting for a chocaholic like me!!!)
Once you open the bag you are met with lots of little shapes of varying shapes and sizes, which is delicious honeycomb (like that found inside a crunchie) covered in just as gorgeous Cadburys milk chocolate.
You will find small ones (my favourite) and larger pieces which are mainly honeycomb.
I personally prefer to have this product covered with ice cream and chocolate sauce but then I'm a total pig at the best of times!

Advantages: Tongue Heaven. Disadvantages: You might get fat and rot your teeth.

The Crunchie Blast ice cream is shaped like a Magnum with a shell of Cadbury's milk chocolate covering golden ice cream. Beware as you bite because shards of chocolate will inevitably fall off and land on your white linen skirt or melt onto your shirt. The first bite reveals the golden coloured centre, just the same as the bubbly golden innards of a Crunchie bar. Nice!
I do like the taste of Cadbury's chocolate so as with other Cadbury ice creams, I am not disappointed with the chocolate shell. I was however disappointed with my first mouthful of Crunchie ice cream. It tasted lovely, in fact very similar to the honeycomb flavour of the Crunchie bar, fancy that! What did disappoint me was the lack of fizzing and popping. I did not feel anything at all until I discovered the secret to the tingle. You must not bite your ice cream, a more gentle ...
