Ahhh the pinnacle of modern day mass-produced chocolate and the main basis for the entire range Cadbury’s candy bars. In fact until the advent of Cadbury’s Dream and excluding their Bournville bar I think I would not be wrong in saying that every candy bar they produced was covered in this stuff.
Sometimes though you really cant decide what kind of candy you want and seeing as there are so many choices on the market these days this indecision can often lead to the realisation that it’s the chocolate you want therefore why waste your time figuring out which chocolate and something bar when all you have to do is just go for the chocolate.
Now I remember these in their old style wrappers, which were a purple foil that was wrapped in paper. Now they have come up to date and have opted for the more hygienic and modern plastic foil type stuff that Cadbury’s use on all, if not nearly all of their candy bars. However the purple that has always been synonymous with Cadbury’s has remained untouched over the years even if now they have opted for the metallic purple that these foil type wrappers can have printed on them.
Added to this there is the metallic gold of the Cadbury’s logo and then more purple and gold used in the printing of the words “ DAIRY MILK “. The other thing that has stayed after the wrapper design change is the large chunk of chocolate which has two glasses of milk suspended over it. One full the other only half full ( or half empty depending on your outlook of life ) which was the well known slogan that Cadbury’s put a “ Glass And A Half Of Milk In Every Half Pound !! “.
This has no relevance in today’s world though as we are all using kilos and kilograms now and no longer on the old system of pounds and ounces. Maybe that is the reason that this slogan is not really used any more but the picture remains and I find this to be a good thing as the picture was as well known as the slogan so it’s good that not everything gets altered as the years pass.
Now Dairy Milk comes in many sizes from the normal 6 chunk bar to the pocket sized bar to the king sized bar and then up to the 200 g and bigger bars that seem to appear around the Christmas period a lot. However the normal and most purchased by me is the 200 g bar.
The bar consists of 32 square’ish chunks of milk chocolate which all have the Cadbury’s logo etched into the top of them. The chocolate itself is what you expect from Cadbury’s. Sweet but not overly so, not too melty so that it just doesn’t dissolve into nothing as soon as you place a chunk into your mouth. Completely moreish and one chunk will never be enough.
When placed into the fridge before hand the chocolate becomes harder to melt at a lower temperature so you can suck upon a chunk for longer prolonging the experience.
The fact is that here in the UK Cadbury’s is widely regarded as the best mass-produced chocolate we can get and the price isn’t all that bad either. A 200 g bar will cost anywhere between 90p and £1.10 depending on where you get it. While it isn’t the cheapest it is often the one we use as a basis for our comparison to all other chocolate and unfortunately nearly all other come up short of the mark.
Dairy Milk is the choccy bar when you want nothing else in your chocolate other than chocolate because sometimes it’s just nice to take it back to basics and not bother about nuts or fruit or caramel or wafers or biscuits or toffee or whatever else they want to add to chocolate bars.
Personally when considering the weight and the fact that the weight is purely 100 % chocolate with nothing adding to the weight trying to make it heavier than it actually is this is pretty good value for money and a single bar of 200 g can go a long way
It can also be used as a makeshift weapon as a friend of mine a few years ago discovered much to our amusement though not to his. There I was eating a bar when Darryl asked for a chunk. I broke some off the bar and threw it at him seeing as he was on the other side of the room. Unfortunately for Darryl he wasn’t watching so the chocolate I threw at him slammed into the side of his head knocking him off the chair and onto the floor in rather a daze. Needless to say he never has asked for any of my chocolate again !! There’s a moral in there me thinks !! Hee Hee !!
Advantages: Are you serious... yummy Disadvantages: Not unless you're on a diet
Well I am totally shattered, but too tired to sleep and too tired to work, so I thought I'd write an opinion. The thing is I've been up all night because my lad accidentally took an insulin overdose and it was important that we kept an eye on his sugar levels, as he could go low in his sleep. If he goes too low he runs the risk of coma, brain damage, so by keeping an eye on it we've kept it high all night, which is not a good thing, but far better ... ...computer all night, doing a day's work and every 30 minutes/1 hour checking his blood. Now the challenge is can I write a coherent opinion, well we'll see. The house is waking up and in their wonderful way are completely ignoring the fact I have been up all night. I HAVE BEEN UP ALL NIGHT, I want to shout, but it would make the slightest bit of difference, I'm been taken for granted and that's the way I like it. Being thought of as dependable isn?t ...

Advantages: Delicious chocolate and reasonably priced. Disadvantages: Fattening.
...is gorgeous. The typical Cadbury smell of sweet, smooth, delicious chocolate. The chocolate bar is segmented into six individual rectangles to be broken off and enjoyed.
As you break off the first segment and pop it in your mouth the first thing that hits you is the smoothness of the chocolate as it gently caresses your tongue. The chocolate is very creamy and melts on your tongue, leaving a sweet aftertaste which is extremely pleasurable. It is ... ...and sugar would also be high on the ingredients. Some people like to bite into the choccy but I prefer to leave it to melt in the mouth - making the experience more enjoyable and longer-lasting. I do not find any kind of chocolate filling and this is no exception - that is not the nature of the beast. The reason for making chocolate is to provide a tasty treat and this one passes the test with flying colours. It is obvious why it has lasted the test ...

Advantages: reasonable price Disadvantages: not the best quality chocolate money can buy
...to anyone who likes other Cadbury products but has yet to try the cornerstone of the Cadbury's Empire. It would make a good snack to grab on the run as it is reasonably filling and will give you a much needed sugar hit. If you are not that hungry you can always eat a few squares and save the rest for later.
However I do think that the chocolate could get a little sickly after a while. Certainly I found the standard sized bar to be sufficient, any ... ...in all the Cadbury's Dairy Milk is a rather basic (dare I say bland?) chocolate product. Yet at the same time its familiar sweet and creamy taste is intensely comforting and moreish. It has been around for over a hundred years and I think it would be a safe bet that it will still be around in another hundred years (unless of course those health fascists have their way). ...

Joint op by Squiggles and fclayson
Squiggles: I lay on the bed, quivering in anticipation of him coming home and finding me. I was clad in his favourite colour; my outfit was a deep rich silky purple. I almost melted at the thought of him slowly peeling away at my delicate layers, to reveal my ample, some would say chunky, body beneath. I wanted so desperately for him to be pleased with me, he’d paid out cash for my delights, I needed to know ... ...great appetites for this kind of thing. I just hoped I was all he needed.
Closing my eyes, I dreamed about how gentle his touch would be as he undressed me, the touch of his lips as he took that first tentative nibble at my body, his appetite and desire increasing as he tasted me for the first time. I couldn’t wait, I was almost bursting out of my outfit at the thought. Would he know how to treat me? Would he nibble gently at my delicate brown ...

cadburydairymilk velvet's
The title suggests that the product is manufactured and owned by the cadbury's company. This particular Chocolate Bar has been around for a few years now. Only discovering this chocolate on the shelves until recently I decided to buy a packet and review this particular version of cadbury's dairymilk Chocolate named 'Milk Melts'. This Chocolate Bar is available in dairymilk, deliciously dark and heavenly Praline.
fast fact's
-Taste- rich milk Chocolate
-Flavour- Chcolate and Truffle
-Appearance- pleasant, even shaped and even sized
product packaging
Box presentation is very good. It has some nice colours. Though this aspect does add to the cost of the Chocolate retail price eventually. The packaging looks novel and somewhat unique. There have not been many times where I have been ...
Advantages: it still smells nice. Disadvantages: too sweet, very sickly and leaves a bitter after taste.
As the Cadburydairymilk double choc bar has been the most plugged bar during my favourite show (coronation street) recently I have been getting more and more tempted to try one. Being that I don?t like to do things by halves I popped out the other night and came home with the 250g bar. As I had bought it from a late night garage I paid over the odds for it (£1.89) I believe these can be found priced around £1.40 any way never mind I was desperate to try one.
As I sat down with this new delight in my hands I was sure this was going to become one of my new favourites. WRONG! This chocolate bar is far too sweet and left me very disappointed. For those of you who have tried a galaxy caramel you will know that the caramel is runny unlike the firm caramel in a Cadbury`s bar, well the chocolate inside these bars is just like the runny ...
Advantages: Very creamy delicious taste and widely available Disadvantages: Too sweet for some
I have recently tried the Cadbury's Dairymilk with Caramel centre and I am very impressed.
This caramel Chocolate bar is nicer and creamier than many other chocolate caramel bars.
The features of this product are as follows:
* PACKAGING AND APPEARANCE *
Cadbury's Dairymilk with Caramel centre is packaged in a foil purple and yellow wrapper with a very noticable Cadbury's dairymilk front and yellow bottom half of the bar foil saying with Caramel. It is very easy to find stocked with all other chocolate bars in your local supermarket.
* TASTE AND COMPARISON TO OTHER SIMILAR CARAMEL CHOCOLATE BARS *
This dairymilk caramel Chocolate bar has a very smooth, sweet creamy chocolate and caramel taste on the palette and really melts in the mouth. I have found Cadbury's dairymilk caramel simply delicious above all other ...
