**Are they nice**
If you like Cadbury chocolate without there being any wafer or other ingredients to take the chocolate experience away, then most certainly, you will enjoy these.
The size of them makes them just right for a snack, and because they are small, it is possible ... ...chocolate. So…for a quick chocolate fix, they are ideal.
Children tend to really enjoy these. Not only are they made of tasty chocolate, they love the fact that it's a frog. The whole marketing concept is geared towards children.
Then, also in Freddo's favour is the price. There are not many chocolates or snacks which cost as little as 10p. This makes them great if you have lots of children round, and they are all wanting chocolate. ... more
Freddo
I love this chocolate. 10p pure unadulterated chocolate delight, and something which, until I had children, I knew nothing about, and had never even heard of. What a Philistine!
**Freddo's packet!**
Freddo is sold in a little tear open purple packet. It's Cadbury's so it would be purple! Of course, there is a big picture of freddo on the front and a sign advertising the fact that he costs only 10p (I can't remember him ever being another price- has he not heard of inflation?) A total and absolute bargain! There is the usual ingredients and nutritional information on the back.
**All About Freddo**
Open up the packet, which is surprisingly easy to tear open, and Freddo can be easily pulled out. What a delightful little fella There he stands, approximately 7cm of chocolate perfection. Of course, he looks like a frog, and of course he looks happy, with a big smile and his name emblazoned across his top.
**Enjoy…**
I think there are several ways you can eat Freddo. You could start at the top or the bottom, and slowly nibble your way through the whole frog, or eat him in one bite, assuming you can fit him in your mouth. That's a splendid way to do it- a mouthful of chocolate, cheeks completely full while you try very hard to chew or let him melt. Alternatively, lovely but a tad gross dunked into a cup of tea. The way I eat Freddo depends on where I am and who I am with!
**Nutritional Value**
I am going to list them per frog… Energy 105 kcal, Protein 1.5g, Carbohydrate 11.3g, Fat 5.9g
May contain traces of nuts, wheat and soya. There is also a best before date but I don't think I need this warning as I eat my Freddos well before the time is up!

This makes them great if you have lots of children round, and they are all wanting chocolate. There is no need to spend 30p or 40p on each chocolate bar. Give them a Freddo, and it's usually a hit. Put them into party bags and children get a chocolate bar without you having to take out a second mortgage!
So, a great little bar of chocolate which "hits the spot", is tasty and good value for money.
The only thing I have to decide is how to eat my next one…
Advantages: Cheap Cadbury's chocolate Disadvantages: aimed at children
Now then if chocolate companies are going to be so as unscrupulous as to specially target children then there are two things they need to do. Firstly they need to give it some sort of psuedo “health benefit” or make it very small so the product seems less unhealthy. Secondly they need to make it cheap. There are two reasons for cheapness: Number One so that children can afford to buy said treat with their pocket money and Number Two so that when ... ...they can hold up product and their mothers will give in because it is so cheap. Cadbury’s has such a product in the form of the Freddo.
The Freddo bar is a small frog shaped lump of chocolate that costs 10p. It comes in two varieties the original all chocolate Freddo and the Freddo with Caramel. I was lucky enough to receive a free Freddo Caramel (another bonus of them being so cheap is that people will give them away for free to try and persuade ...

Advantages: Chocolate, cheap, yummy Disadvantages: I've never seen one of the big bags in the picture :(
...front of the wrapper is Cadbury land and underneath a big green frog with clothes on. On his (I think it's a he, well I've decided it is anyway) is 'freddo daily milk'. Near the bottom is the price in big red letters, 10p. On the back is the best before date, address, barcode, ingredients, nutritional information and information about Cadbury land.
NUTRITION & INGREDIENTS ~~
Ingredients: Milk, Sugar, Coca mass, Cocoa butter, Vegetable fat, Emulsifiers ... ...you can taste the distinct Cadbury taste. It is really nice and will instantly make your cravings disappear. If you take average bites then it will probably last around three or four bites which is fine enough for a snack. If however this is the only chocolate you have you can nibble it and make it last longer.
There is another product in this range, this being the Taz or Tazo, it's something like that! This is exactly the same as the Freddo except ...

Advantages: Proper Cadbury milk chocolate, cheap, fewer calories than a full size bar Disadvantages: You may be left wanting more
...shaped bar made of proper Cadbury chocolate, about half the size of a standard Dairy Milk bar. There is a lot of competition between different chocolate manufacturers, but my favourite normal brand chocolate is Cadburys. I find Galaxy isn’t ‘chocolately’ enough (I’m not a white chocolate fan) and I don’t find Nestle chocolate is as smooth. I remember spending my pocket money on Freddos in the local post office as a kid. The packaging is Cadbury purple ... ...chocoholics like me! A normal Cadbury Dairy Milk bar is 260 calories, so after eating 2 Freddos and you have still eaten 70 fewer calories. I find that 2 Freddos costing is a great substitute for a Cadbury bar as it costs 50p in many shops and up to 65p in some places. Freddos are particularly great for when you are out shopping, or in a train station, on your lunch break or just having a walk, and you just want a small amount of chocolate to keep ...

Advantages: little bit of chocolate Disadvantages: none
Freddos have been around for a good few years. The 2 kinds you get in the Uk are Milk Chocolate and Caramel. I remeber the Caramel ones used to be called Taz bars and they had a picture of the cartoon character taz on the front. You can get the different kinds of these on certain websites, 1 is www.cybercandy.co.uk So what is a Freddo Bar? Freddos are manufactured by Cadbury's and the chocolate is Dairy Milk chocolate. It is a small piece of Chocolate ... ...1 side and raised a bit on the other with the chocolate sculpted out for eyes and such. The dairy Milk Milk Chocolate one is just a plain piece of chocolate, but the Caramel one has got quite runny caramel through the middle of it. It is just the right amount of Caramel for the amount of chocolate. I usually eat these after they have been in the fridge, as it makes the chocolate crispy and although the Caramel is quite runny, this does thicken it ...

...“Freddo” in front of a Cadbury purple background. The price on the bottom (now 15p though I'm sure many can remember them being 10p) and the amount of calories in the bar (more about that later), the back contains the barcode and the nutritional information.
Coming in at about 2 inches long the frog is rather short and shaped like the frog from the wrapper, I think their may be different designs and this one is quite a cheeky one sticking it's tongue ... ...Freddo is tiny it's the Cadbury chocolate that we know and like, it's pretty much a plan milk chocolate bar (Cadbury of course do do a Milk Chocolate bar) so it's only the cutesy design that makes it appealing and the price. The bar is a snick size chocolate bar so it's great for kids, but as it's also Cadbury's I guess us adults can convince ourselves it's fine to eat them as well, and, well, it is fine.
Although the price does seem to have shot ...

Advantages: Creamy crispy texture with sweet white chocolate Disadvantages: High fat content for a small bar
aren't bad at all for something that contains chocolate, but the fat content lets it down.
The bars contain: Oats, wheat and crisped rice and as my tastebuds told me, condensed milk (as well as all the other ingredients like coco butter, milk powder etc...)
Money wise, they usually cost £1.50 for a box of 9 so that's about 17p which I think it a good detail when you consider that a CadburyFreddo Frog or Mars Milky way are 15/ 17p. Obviously, they are great for lunch boxes, though niot at all nutritional, despite the box labelling that they are packed with 'wholegrain goodness' - just gove your kids some Weetabix!
Overall, I probably won't pass a box of these on the supermarket shelves without putting them in the trolley! I really enjoyed the flavours and textures. The creaminess was a plesant change from your usually soft or crispy ...
Advantages: Nice taste and plenty crunchy Disadvantages: Sometimes the fragments are a bit pointy- OUCH
Hiya,
I go through phases where I'm just obsessed with certain sweets and foods, there was a period of months where you never saw me without a big slab of cheesecake in my gob. But now, I've moved on and my latest paramour is the Daim bar, or Dime as it used to be known.
They're pretty cheap, not as cheap as the reliable ole' Freddo the frog, a bar by cadbury, but still nothing extortionate. So it doesn't tax me too much to feed my addiction which is always good, because those damned cheesecakes were a right pain in the bank balance.
You can spot them pretty easily in the shops, the red packaging provides a decent contrast from the majority of the chocolate packaged in brown and purple, and the packaging suits the product too. The break in the word Daim sums up the crunchy texture of a Daim.
Anyway that is neither here nor there ...

Advantages: awesome taste, fantastic price and good packaging Disadvantages: ....
, basically, its not too hard but not too soft at the same time. Just in between.
Appearance and Price
The packaging as you would expect from a Cadburys product is shiny. This means that you can't really miss it on the shelves. In terms of shape, the Cadbury Fudge is long and relativey thin. The bar itself isn't that big, but that leads me on to another point. Since the bar is quite small, Cadburys have kept the price lower than any other chocolate bar on the market today. Its only 15p per bar. Thats the same as a Freddo! Personally, I think this is brilliant value. Especially since it tastes so nice. Instead of making the bars bigger, Cadburys have also brought out multipacks. Although these are only in packs of 5 or 10. Obviously if you buy these multipacks you will be making an even further saving on the already fantastic value.
So ...
