Cadburys Crème Egg, how do you eat yours?
Normally I eat mine in egg form but recently I’ve twisted things up and tried the Cadburys crème egg bar Twisted.
Cadbury has been making chocolate since 1824, when John Cadbury opened his first shop which has now grown to be one of the biggest sellers of chocolate in the world.
According to their website, Cadbury's first introduced a crème-filled egg in 1923 but it wasn't until 1971 that the Cadbury Crème Egg hit the shelves in the form that we know it today.
The best part of a crème egg for me is the inside bit, “the egg,” the ooey, gooey, sticky fondant in the middle. It is made to resemble the inside of an egg as it is both yellow and white. However, whenever I eat one of these eggs I manage to get it all over my hands, face, etc. I don’t know what it is about the egg shape that makes this happen to me but it always does. It’s probably because the shell has a tendency to break quite easily and so the middle always oozes its way out. This is ok if you are at home but if you are in public this is not the most attractive look and so this is where the twisted bar comes in handy.
The bar is basically just like a dairy milk bar but it has ridges on it to make it look like it has basically been twisted. The bar breaks into individual pieces like a dairy milk bar but it can get a bit messy when you try to separate them due to the filling. In my experience it’s best to just bite your way through the bar. The middle contains exactly the same fondant as an egg.
The packaging is similar to that of the egg, the same familiar red, blue and yellow colours but it ahs the word Twisted written on the front. Each bar contains 210 calories which I actually think is quite high compared to some other chocolate bars and is not as big as some either. Even though I do like this bar I have to say that it’s no patch on the original crème egg itself. Maybe’s it’s something to do with the fun of eating the egg, the design, the uniqueness of it but for me the bar is just not as fun and a bit ordinary and not something I would pick over other bars so I think I will just stick to the egg!

Interesting idea, but I think this would be a bit too sickly for me. Great review x

i've only bought these when they were on special offer - I found them more sickly then the eggs for some reason. But I do like the eggs, and I wouldn't say no if someone else bought me a twisted.Nice Review
