Advantages: Made By Cadburys Disadvantages: Too Sickly For Me

She got them from the super market down the lane: Kwik Save. I noted that the label on them states that they cost £1.18 pence.
The wrapper ... ...mixed with purple. I actually thought it was a multi pack of Fudge bars at first because the wrapper looked so similar to that of the Cadbury's fudge bar. You get 6 Fudge cakes in a packet. I remember that the calories were roughly equal to an average cake bar.
I do remember that they are suitable for vegetarians; however they are not for people suffering nut allergies. (I do remember that because my sister suffers from nut allergies). more

The wrapper covering the Fudge bars was bright shiny orange mixed with purple. I actually thought it was a multi pack of Fudge bars at first because the wrapper looked so similar to that of the Cadbury's fudge bar. You get 6 Fudge cakes in a packet. Once you open the box and slide out the tray they are in, you will notice that they are actually smaller than what you may have been expecting - and there is a lot of spare space in the tray. Each cake bar is about 6 inches long and 2 inches thick. They are not wrapped individually so they do not require any more unwrapping.
They smelt kind of sweet and I wasn't sure about it to be honest.
The Fudge cakes are layered with plain chocolate, not milk chocolate, which is a problem I feel. The packaging and name leads you to believe that these will be like the actual chocolate Fudge bars available, but actually they are not. The fudge is underneath the top layer of chocolate. The Fudge is placed on top of a dark chocolate sponge which acts as the main 'structure' of the cake.
What do these Cadbury’s Fudge Cakes taste like?. I remember biting in to it and tasting the dark chocolate sponge. Texture wise the plain chocolate that encased the whole cake really did seem like plastic to me and the sponge was really dry in my opinion. The fudge was sweet, and rather sickly. I was left with some after taste from the fudge - so i had to wash it away with water. I really was not like the Cadbury's Fudge Bars I have eaten before.
The cakes are not filling, but I would not grab for another - as I really did not find the taste appealing at all. It was very dry in my opinion and the dry dark chocolate sponge accompanied with the sickly fudge really is not a nice sensation to have in the mouth.
My family were not too keen on these cakes, apart from my dad who really likes dark chocolate. He ate the remaining few.
The bottom line in my opinion is that these are a waste of money, and taste nasty! You are lead by the packaging and name that they are going to be similar to the Fudge bars, but they do not taste anything like them. A miss in my opinion.
Advantages: Provide a chocolate hit if you need one, quite a nice smallish size Disadvantages: Not very like the actual fudge chocolate bar, very sweet
I needed a chocolate hit and Cadbury's Fudge cakes caught my eye in the supermarket. The packaging is bright metallic orange with purple (mimicking the wrapper of a Cadbury's fudge bar) and they cost £1.23 in Sainsbury's (in the city of London, so probably more expensive than bigger branches).
I quite like Cadbury's Fudge bars and was expecting the cakes to taste like them as the packaging alluded to this. However, I was disappointed. They are covered ... ...not a big dark chocolate fan myself). You would expect them to be milk chocolate so that they resemble the bars more (I'm pretty sure from memory that the bars are milk chocolate, or at least they don't taste overwhelmingly of plain choc.). They consist of a dark chocolate spongecake finger topped with fudgy topping and the whole thing dipped in plain chocolate. The fudgy topping was nice, but a bit sickly - I ended up scraping the cake off the fudge ...

Advantages: Taste Disadvantages: Too small. Not satisfying. not wrapped
...with a yummy chunk of cadbury flake. Perfect for those people who like to pick of the top eat the cream and then the cake. However once i had finished i really felt i had not had enough so you would probably be tempted to have two which then gives you almost double the calories of a normal cake bar. In conclusion. For those who can just have a small snack and do not want to take it with them these are great but for those who like something a little ... ...them as they are woprth a try but only if someone else will help you eat them as there are eight and they are not so fab that you really feel you want to eat all those in a hurry. however if kept in a tin they will not go stale quickly. One thing they would be great for are kids parties. ...
