Simple to use scientific calculator
Review of Canon F715S by
NegativeG
Advantages: Easy to use, can edit lines, remembers history, suitable for GCSE
Disadvantages: None
This Canon calculator is fantastic.
It is powered by batteries and solar panel and is simple to operate.
There are many functions including a number of memories, they are labelled as A, B, C, D, M (Memory) and X and Y. The X and Y are probably really useful for GCSE and A-Levels since everything seems to revolve around X and Y in those questions!
You can edit lines and go back to see what previous calculations you have done - useful for double ... ...certainly a good calculator for GCSE use (it seems to do everything I covered in mine including sin, cos, tan as well as cubes and square roots, pi and fractions). For A-Level it doesn't have some of the more useful functions, there are no imaginary numbers, for example. But the bulk is here and I would strongly recommend it.
Calculations are put in as you would write them and the screen is clear and simple. The contrast can be adjusted.
It is ...

Review about Casio FX 83 ES
Review of Casio FX 83 ES by
dmoorcroft
Advantages: Lightweight, easy to use, long battery life
Disadvantages: So easy to use you wont want to stop using it!
I have been using this product for a long time now and I have to say that it has never let me down!
It is a stylish piece of equipment with great ergonomics and a very easy to read display.
I have to highly recommend this product for any students undertaking their GCSEs or higher - it is a scientific calculator so is ideal for courses such as A level chemistry.
The only downside to this calculator is that its so easy to use that you're mental ...

Confessions of Maths A-Level student...
Review of Casio FX 991 MS by
MrEvans101
Advantages: All the core facilities
Disadvantages: Not the most up to date model
...seems very durable!
The Casio FX 991 MS has all the standard features of a scientific calculator, but sadly is growing slightly out dated now. Many of my friends have the more up to date Casios, some of which are graphical calculators... which I believe allow you to plot graphs and calculate integrations and differentiations. However, none of this is essential, and the FX 991 MS is still a great and highly useful calculator.
This is a great calculator ... ...A-Level, truly any level. As I've said, maybe not the most up to date or modern calculator, but certainly a decent one with all the core features.
Also, as a side note, I quite like the fact that it is solar powered (as well as battery powered) as you never need to worry about changing battery, and it can turn itself off. From an aesthetic point of view, I love this calculator because it has a really retro '70s or '80s feel... if you're going to ...

Casio does it again
Review of Casio FX 83 ES by
crewealexfan92
Advantages: Does the job
Disadvantages: None
...importantly, needs a calculator.
Casio has always been the brand to go for when choosing a calculator for this purpose. Other brands, like Texet, have tried to take over the market but Casio provides the format that everyone is familiar with.
The main advantage of this is that it does what you need it to. It adds, subtracts, squares, cubes, multiplies, halves, divides and has many other functions. If you are on a GCSE or A-Level course then this ...
