Very disappointing

Advantages Free internet calls
Disadvantages Slow, don't seem to be organised at all, selectively answer emails, don't want you to contact them
I tried to sign up for this service when they first started at the end of 1999, unfortunately I was too late and missed my chance when they closed subscriptions. I was actually glad when I heard the service was very poor. I then heard a few months later that the service had improved and they were accepting registrations again, but this time you had to pay £20 for a dialler box. This seemed like a reasonable deal so I signed up, expecting to receive the box, complete with activation code within 28 days. Several months passed, as did several unanswered emails and I decided something had gone wrong. By this time I had another ISP offering a similar service and so I decided not to pursue it. However, just as everything seemed fine, callnet decided to take £20 out of my account for no reason. I tried to get in contact with them but the only email on the website was technical support, who I received a reply from after a week giving me a different email address. I sent my email to the new address who failed to respond at all. With no alternative I had to phone the only number on their website which was technical support charged at 60p a minute. After getting through I managed to get a number from them, which after phoning I was greeted by helpful person who was able to credit my account in 2 weeks, although stressed that I couldn't join the service, even though I'd made it clear that I didn't want to! Avoid this company at all costs!
