I signed up for Callnet a few months ago, at the beginning of the free internet access revolution. I paid £20 for a box, which routes your calls through Callnet's network and, in return, got four £5 vouchers to use against future phone bills. However, in a typical representation of the service I have come to expect from Callnet, I have yet to even receive a phone bill for the non-internet calls I made over four months ago! As for the internet access, although free, it was practically useless, with lines constantly engaged, and connection errors and poor transfer rates when I did manage to get through. I strongly advise anyone to avoid subscribing with Callnet, until they get over their serious 'teething' problems. Besides, there are many more completely free internet access options now available. Callnet goes to show, that sometimes it is worth paying that little bit extra for a quality service (such as BT SurfTime).
