360, Activision aren’t wasting any time with the follow-up as you do you bit to help out with the Normandy breakout and the liberation of France. The lowdown: Despite the new digit in the title this isn’t so much a sequel to Call of Duty 2 on the 360 and PC as it is Call of Duty: Big Red One on the PS2, Xbox and GameCube. It’s by the same developer (Treyarch), there’s no PC version and it doesn’t feature three distinct armies, but instead a recreation of the Normandy breakout. That’s not to suggest it’s short on new ideas though with much larger levels than ever before and far more vehicles to control (particularly in the Battlefield like multiplayer mode). There’s also a new Resident Evil 4 style quick time event system for hand-to-hand combat where you have to hit specific buttons to sock it to the Nazi hordes. Most exciting moment: It may seem a bit shallow to go on about the game’s explosions but really, there’s never been anything as realistic as the fireworks in this game. The way the smoke moves is particularly amazing, even drifting in the wind or dispersing after a second nearby explosion. Since you ask: Although Activision has confirmed nothing yet they have hinted that original Call of Duty developers Infinity Ward are working on their own sequel, primarily for the PC. When it will come out and whether it will be translated to the next generation consoles is currently unknown. The bottom line: The best WII first person shooter looks to be getting even better. Advantages: A whole new game play system exclusive to the Wii | The intensive action throughout the entire game | Total control over all vehicles, such as tanks and jeeps. Disadvantages: The shortness of the game | Graphics declining from its' prequel | Lack of multiplayer.
Call of Duty 3, the third instalment to the Call of Duty series. Sticking to what it does best, Call of Duty focuses on the spectacular battles that were situated in World War 2, and has so far been one of the only World War 2 game series that doesn't revolve a main part of the game around Omaha Beach on D-Day, instead it shows you different aspects of what happened during D-Day in 1944. As usual, Call of Duty 3 sticks to as much truth as possible, ... ...the other Call of Duty games (Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2), this Call of Duty is made purely for consoles, and not for PC's, thus this has caused the game to decline in graphics from its' prequel Call of Duty 2.
The aim of the game is to live through the war by being a soldier, rising through the ranks of all three British, American and Russian stories. Use your weapons, such as rifles, machine guns and other World War 2 firearms to take out the ...

Gameplay

The game opens with a brief tutorial where you will have to complete a series of a few small tasks to get to grips with the feel of the game and some of the basic controls. Movement is controlled by the analog stick on the Wii's Nunchuk. ... ...at the screen and moving it.You can fire your weapon by pressing the B button, but this doesn't allow for much accuracy. For precision aiming, you'll want to press and hold A, which raises your gun to eye level and lets you use the weapon's sight.
the controls are quite basic but they take abit of getting used to as i always used to fire grenades when i wanted to use my gun which was quite annoying as i used to just blow myself up.

Advantages: great graphics and control functionality Disadvantages: lack of features, only short single player
...far from the best.
call of duty on the wii has possibly the best controls yet for a first person shooter on the console, although the aiming system, which simply involves you pointing where you want to aim works well, it could be improved. the main couple of control issues are the speed the cursor moves, it is very sudden and over sensitive, however, this can be adjusted in the settings but this leads to another issue. the turning while in zoom ... ...make normal turning easier, the longer it take to turn in zoom mode, not good when sniping multiple targets.
Overall the controls are excellent and intuitive, a simple flick of the nunchuck will change your weapon, and up-down motion will reload and a swinging movement throws a grenade (although its easier to just press the button no the remote). also a few little mini games such as arming bombs and handheld combat with enemies have you performing ...

Advantages: Great game, Fun Disadvantages: Not Online
Call Of Duty 3 is a game for the Nintendo Wii the game is a Second World War game and is all about shooting people and winning the war. The controls are pretty basic but really hard to use at first but you do get used to it after a while. You use the Nunchuck to walk around with and the WiiMote to aim and shoot with. The graphics are reasonable they are not as good as the PS3 and Xbox360 but the game is much more fun on the Wii because its more fun ... ...said before the graphics for Call Of Duty 3 on the Wii are not as good as the PS3 or Xbox360 but they are still not bad, You can still play the game with these graphics its just not as high detail, But it is really annoying because all the country's camouflage looks the same so sometimes you shoot your own team and fail a mission for team damage, But still the graphics are a reasonable standard.

Call Of Duty 3 Review ofCall of Duty 3 (Wii)by
mcleism01
Advantages: sound Disadvantages: same wW2 fighting, graphics blur, it much use of wii remote
Call of duty 3 for the wii is set in 1944 in as the allies break out of Normandy into the centre of France. Throughout the course of the game you'll play numerous different soldiers from different countries as they all play their role in the Normandy breakout campaign.
As with all the call of duty games the game starts with a brief training session that teaches you the basics of how to shoot, throw a grenade and crouch, which I think is not enough ... ...him.
The graphics in call of duty are quite good sometimes they can falter a bit when the fighting goes over the top, but overall the graphics handle the immense amount of action very well.
The sound on call of duty is very good as with many fighting games, it builds up the atmosphere very well and the souds of the grenades, shouting and bullets make the fighting quite brilliant to listen to. ...

There wasn't any other game on the XBox 360 I was looking forward to as much as Call of Duty 3. It was a solid launch title for the 360, and a firm multiplayer favourite still even now, so surely Call of Duty 3 should have stormed in and taken the crown... more
