Advantages: Most maps are Great, Graphics, Sounds, Online Play Disadvantages: WWII, Guns, some Maps are Boring
...Also if you call in an Artillery Strike (5 kill streak) and a bomb lands on you, you see the body blow to pieces...Its AWESOME. Also with 7 kill streak you get dogs instead of a helicopter, and they look real.
---Sound---
Not alot to write about sound but personally I think it's good. The guns actually sound like guns in real life, and if your German and the opposition release dogs he tells you in a German accent vis versa if ... ...---Missions---
Missions are not too hard and the story line is great. I think there is like 20 missions all together which is a vast improvement to COD 5. I completed it in like a week so it's quite easy. I loved COD 4: Modern Warfare as everything in it was modern. When I heard they were releasing COD 5: World at War, I was exstatic. I thought this game would be amazing until I heard that it would be back in WWII, which totally changed my mind. I then didn't think it would be that good until I got it. It is amazing, the graphics are amazing the sounds are amazing, everything is amazing. There is only something's that disappoint me on this game.
---Advantages--- 1) There are only a few maps online that I don't actually like unlike COD 4 whereas I hated most maps. 2) The graphics are amazing very lifelike 3) The sounds are great, the guns sound like guns in real life. 4) There are loads of People who actually play it online.
---Disadvantages--- 1) Its gone back to WWII 2) Most of the Guns are Rubbish 3) Some maps are boring.
---Graphics--- The graphics on this game are amazing. Say if you were shooting sandbags you would see sand coming out of the bag. When you shoot someone (enemy) you can actually see the blood spurting out of there body, or if you shoot there head it comes off, it's very gory. But if you don't like too much blood and gore then you can change the amount of gore. Also if you call in an Artillery Strike (5 kill streak) and a bomb lands on you, you see the body blow to pieces...Its AWESOME. Also with 7 kill streak you get dogs instead of a helicopter, and they look real.
---Sound--- Not alot to write about sound but personally I think it's good. The guns actually sound like guns in real life, and if your German and the opposition release dogs he tells you in a German accent vis versa if you were American I love it!
---Missions--- Missions are not too hard and the story line is great. I think there is like 20 missions all together which is a vast improvement to COD 5. I completed it in like a week so it's quite easy. Once you have completed the game and its says you have, you actually haven't. If you go to mission select then there will be some zombie level. What it is is that you in a Building (the one on airfield) and zombies come through windows. For every zombie you kill you get points. You repair windows which cost 10 points, you unlock doors to new rooms and you spend points to buy guns. As you progress through the rounds more will come, the idea is to last as long as you can, BUT! There not normal zombies there NAZI zombies but don't have guns, also they run at you.
---Online--- Online there is a maximum of 12 players and a Minimum of 6 players in a Lobby. If a map comes up that you don't like then you can vote for it (square) but if the amount which is required to vote to pass then you cant vote for the next map to be passed. There are loads of Modes. Team death match, Free-4-All, sabotage, Search and Destroy and More also you can do them on a harder level. You get ranked out of the world (I am 167000 or something like that lol) and also you have ranks like sergeant, sergeant II ect and it can go up to something like 100 I think not sure.
---Perks--- There are many great perks some are Camouflage: Undetected by Enemy Recon Plane Juggernut: Increased Health Seight of Hand: Faster Reload Bouncy Betty's x2 Martyrdom: Drops Live grenade when you die
And more. These are like advantages they could help you when you play online, Also you can create your own class. You can pick your Primary Weapon, Side Arm, Grenades, Special Grenades, and Perk 1, 2 and 3 and Vehicle perk like faster tank or faster reload time
---Kill Streak--- For 3 kill Streak you get a recon plane which will find enemy's (who don't have the camouflage perk) and show them on the radar. For 30 seconds 5 Kill Streak you get artillery strike you can pick where to place the artillery strike 7 Kill streaks you set dogs on the enemy for 60 seconds, they can kill the dogs but the dogs get you kills. ---My Opinion--- To be honest I think this game is a Must buy, everyone was saying its rubbish because its WWII but no-one gave it a try. I have and I Love it. I would personally buy it because once you have completed it you can play online which is great
Advantages: Fast paced, good ww2 action, lots of variety, very good graphics Disadvantages: character animations arent as good as COD4
Call of Duty 5: World at War, is the fifth installment in the call of duty series. However, it is worth mentioning here that it is made not by the original developers "Infinity Ward" but by another company called Treyarch who were responsible for Call of Duty 3 as well as some other games. Those that know call of duty 3 will know it was a bit rubbish, to be blunt. So when i heard that these chaps were making Call of Duty 5, i was less than impressed. ... ...My initial comment is that Call of Duty World at War is a more gritty, grown up outing than Call of Duty 4. I wouldn't recommend this game for younger players. The graphics are amazing and the gore is shocking sometimes. I have stuck mostly to the multiplayer to play with friends and when you get torn in half by a machine gun, have your limbs blown off by a grenade or watch an artillery shell smash your body to bits, the detail is quite intricate. ...

Advantages: Amazing Graphics - Amazing Gunfights - Amazing Sound effects Disadvantages: No cover system - Not the longest campaign
...to take out tanks - call air strikes - disable AA guns - take out hiding snipers. The gameplay is so good - its so fun to play - its so fun I completed the campaign in one sitting (8 hours).
There are many things i like about this game;
I like the camaflouge enemies that hide in the trees.
I like the ability to lay on your stomach and sliver across the floor to stay out of site.
I like the similarities to COD4.
The story is pretty much the same ... ...but it tells the story well. The campaign is slightly longer than COD4 which is good. There are so many missions I can remember - my fav mission usually come when alone with dimitri - he is a really good character - the stealth parts are well done.
Overall the game is superb and really shows what the PS3 can do - it shows also that there is still life in the WW2 games. ...

Advantages: call of duty 4 but 60 years in the past, nazi zombies re just the best Disadvantages: just a copy of call of duty 4, not a bad thing just nothing new
=== Call of duty world at war === i now have both call of duty world at war both on the Nintendo wii and the play station 3, after the first five minutes i decided that i would never play the wii version again, the ps3 version is so much better, with one extra mission in campaign, Nazi zombies which is worth £20, no lagg, more maps and multiplayer modes, campaign co-op and competitive co-op, way better visuals and most importantly dlc (downloadable ... ...do. i own also call of duty 4 modern warfare on the ps3, unfortunately even with no Nazi zombies, trophies and co-op call of duty modern warfare is still better, even though it is 2 years older than world at war. also i feel as if treyarch has just nicked everything from call of duty modern warfare and put it into call of duty but set in 1940-1945 which is good as it gives call of duty 4 a sort of second part but in the past but it would of been ...

Advantages: Great gameplay, sharp graphics, brilliant online mode replayability and blowing zombies up!!! Disadvantages: No disadvantages other than inevitable glitching online
...of the series (Modern Warfare), Call of Duty is infamous for its multiplayer action and re-playability. '''Locally''' There are two ways to have a multiplayer match, the first being locally which means grabbing a friend shoving a controller into his hand and shooting at each other. Having done so many a time with my friend before getting a ps3 myself I can tell you that this split screen mode is just as exciting as online play with the same selection ... ...of ways to obliterate your opponent but with one simple problem, screen-looking. Yes, this is simply finding a decent spot to hide and wait for your prey but with the disadvantage that you suddenly realise 'hang on you just looked at my screen... cheater!' '''Online''' Grab yourself an internet connection for online play and you have unlocked the door to a whole world of entertainment that allows you to customise your soldier to accommodate your ...

Advantages: Vehicles, Zombies!. Disadvantages: Rushed, No improvement on COD4, Poor range of Vehicles.
Call of Duty was always the competetor against Medal of Honour almost every year. It was the equivalent of FIFA against Pro Evolution Soccer for a long time, before Call of Duty 4, that is. It blew all that we knew about the series out of the water. Medal of Honour: Airbourne had nothing over it. Its simple gameplay made for easy use and controls that are now considered standards for first-person shooters. However seeing that Treyarch and Infinity ... ...way to introduce new content. Call of Duty takes advantage of this very well. Already two new map packs have been released each for £7.99 each. I think these are great value for money as each have given 3 new maps and a zombie map too. The most recent pack also contains a new gun. The online mode was no dissapointment in my eyes. Even more map content and tactical assesment to be made when playing game modes like "Search and Destroy", where one team ...

Manufacturer's product description
Leave your packs and bring extra ammo, as you head to the South Pacific and European theaters for Call of Duty: World at War - a gritty fight that will pit players against enemies that know no surrender and show no mercy. Utilizing the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare engine, Call of Duty: World at War throws out the rulebook of war to transform WWII combat through a new enemy, new tactics and an uncensored experience of the climatic battles that gripped a generation. As U.S. Marines and Russian soldiers, players will employ new features like cooperative gameplay, and weapons such as the flamethrower in the most chaotic and cinematically intense experience to date.
Call of Duty: World at War introduces co-operative play, bringing fresh meaning to the \"No One Fights Alone\" mantra with up to four-players online for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, or two-player local split-screen on consoles. Nintendo Wii will also support a unique co-op mode for two players. For the first time ever players will experience harrowing single-player missions together for greater camaraderie and tactical execution. The co-op campaign allows players to rank up and unlock perks in competitive multiplayer by completing challenges and earning experience points, adding continuous re-playability and team-based gameplay. Whether playing competitively or cooperatively - if players are online with Call of Duty: World at War - they will always gain experience points. Based on a player\'s experience rank and rank of the player\'s friends, Call of Duty: World at War will scale dynamically to provide a deeper level of challenge.
