Cambridge audio have been going for some time now, and they are, wait for it.....BRITISH.
I bought a fairly low end CD by Cambridge audio from Richer Sounds. I've had it for 12 months now, and not experienced 1 problem. This sounds excellent, and much better than my previous CD player.
They also produce Amps (amongst others) and their low spec amp is unreal for the price. The more you pay, the more power you get, but that's not to say that the cheaper ones are no good. They are perfect for the majority of enviroments.
I would not hesitate to buy Cambridge audio again, and have heard nothing but praise from anyone who's experienced their products. OK, so I admit, they don't look great, and don't come with a huge variety of knobs and dials, but so what. They are good value, excellent quality and sound superb.
