Panasonic's little marvel
Review of Panasonic NV GS60 by
LHPMEDIA
Advantages: Ease of use, ability to do the job
Disadvantages: no headphone socket or mic input
I am a professional film maker. most times I shoot with Canon XM2 cameras. The tech spec of this interested me, its seems the money gone into the camera spec, not the frills. Ease of use is a big plus, easy to hold steady with both hands and the zoom..well superb. A brilliant all rounder and cheap enough to buy two which I did. Ebay offers them at around £130 and compared to other cameras in that range there is little competion. Picture quality is ... ...the sound, here it could be better, but hey a piece of dense foam infront of the mic makes a big difference, i can live with that. As a first and only camera you could make a film for Tv no problem, as a second/third cam on a shoot, I challenge you to spot the difference on most occasions between this and a camera 10x the price! Buy it. www.LAURENCEHOGGPRODUCTIONS.co.uk ...

A Good Camcorder for First time buyer
Review of Panasonic NV GS35 by
paulten
Advantages: Silvery, Compact, DV-input, good charger user friendly panel
Disadvantages: Rigid view finder, Poor software
I bought this camcorder in last christmas to take videos for my little daughter. During that time, I have a choice to swtich to hard-drive based camcorder or ordinary MiniDV camcorder. However the price difference is so ridiculously huge. I was persuaded to take this Camcorder with the fantastic freebies.
After using it for a month, I can confidently said that it is really value for money, as it got all the feature you want, consider an DV-input, ... ...a charger like other brand. If you have a spare battery like me, you will be able to use the camcorder eventhough your first battery runout without buying a separate charger like other brand.
The quality of the picture is excellent in daylight, however, it has no zero lux capability like the Sony Camcorder. If you swtich on the light of the camcorder for night shot, the pictures tends to be flickly and like the number of frame per seconds has greatly ...

Brilliant budget camara
Review of Panasonic NV GS230 by
tomc123
Advantages: Easy to use and very very cheap
Disadvantages: no lens cover and no built in light
This is the new Panasonic NV GS230. This is an incredibly versitile little camera and at the price is very affordable. This is a very easy camera to use and its functions are very easy to understand although they are quite basic but if your like me and don't want hundreds and thousands of little buttons flashing at you it is perfect.
Now before you ask i know this is a mini dv camera so i know its not the most recent in camera technology but i really ... ...unless your filming for amateur films or something i really cant see the need to spend that much more when mini dv is perfectly acceptable in fact is more than adequate and is excellent value for money.
For stills this camera offers 2.3 mega pixels not brilliant but if you want good stills use your digital camara!! its not what its built for.
The camara also offers SD storage for that extra memory space which i personally find very useful.

johnny040676
Advantages: Small, lightweight, east to use, strong and sturdy

...Brief Description
*******************
The JVC Everio GZ-MG26EY is a very compact little hard drive camcorder with a 20GB hard disk, 32x optical zoom, widescreen, LCD display and many other features I will go into later. It fits nicely into a small shoulder bag and can be carried around quite comfortably ready to shoot if needs be. It feels very nice when strapped in to your hand and all basic fuctions are easily accessible with the one hand holding ... ...*******************
You get the JVC camera, a audio video lead to connect to a television, a charger and battery and a remote control which comes in handy. Also a lens cap and hand strap. You do not get a bag or holder of any kind so you will need to purchase one of these seperately. You also get a set of very easy to follow instructions.

A nice little "point and shoot" camera from Sony.
Review of Sony Handycam DCR SR32E by
OwenClark
Advantages: Small Size, Light Weight, Good Movie Quality, Easy to Use, automatic settings do a great job.
Disadvantages: Still picutre quality less than stellar, software adequate but not great.
...a very good camera from Sony which combines most of the features you really want in one small, compact package.
The LCD screen is clear and the touch menus are easily navigated although manipulating the camera through software is much easier and I tend to do it this way to preserve the screen.
The still picture quality is ok but not on a par with a camera deisgned for that purpose.
The camera fits nicely into your hand and weighs very little so ... ...periods. Battery life is adequate at around 100-120 minutes, and the camera recharges simply but putting it on its base. Recording time is huge, thanks to the huge 30GB hard disk.
The camera performs excellently on the on fully automatic settings, it's literally as simple as point and shoot.
The only improvement would be if lens cap control was automatic, as I've made a few films of the lense cap but this is a small complaint and easily remedied! ...
