Take One - Action!
Review of Sony Handycam DCR SR52E by
BlueMidget
Advantages: Great camcorder, easy to use and excellent quality
Disadvantages: Not within everybody's price-range
...Eventually, he decided that the Sony DCR-SR52 was suitable for everything his ‘current’ model did, with many, many additional features too.
You may question how I can review what is essentially my father’s camera. Well, having a fairly large family there is almost always an excuse for family get together’s and therefore plenty of video opportunities. I, for some reason that I haven’t entirely been able to explain, nearly always find myself as the ... ...encounter in most programmes, but Sony have decided to ignore the tried and tested method and sadly this makes it not quite as user-friendly as it could have been.
~~~ Cost ~~~
The camcorder’s RRP is around the £450 region; however there are some excellent offers to be had with this particular model – we managed to save £100 on the RRP by buying it via Amazon, but I’m sure if you were to shop around you could find some other great value deals.
Must have for Holidays
Review of Sony Handycam DCR HC24 by
kareshma
Advantages: It has a self timer which will allow you to take a picture even if you are on your own. Just time it and leave it on a support and smile as you will get your picture taken
Disadvantages: The chargeable batteries do not last and nowadays we have more megapixels on the market
This is a very interesting as it has most of the features someone would want to have a camcorder to have..the self timer, microphone to name a few.
But with camcoders as well as most of the electrical goods, the competition is tight that you need to watch the market trends.. Nowadays, camcoders with 8 to 10 megapixels are on the market which makes the picture clearer.. and this one is with 400Kpix. So it's really up to the customers to check whether ...
A great camera
Review of Sony Handycam DCR SR30E by
FrancescaTimbers
Advantages: slim, waterproof camera and offers antishake
Disadvantages: Sound not of great quality
This small handy digital camcorder is a point-and-shoot model offering a number of great technologies such as Green/blue screen, Stabilization, light capture technology and touchscreen editing as well as a powerful zoom in/out, All-Weather body design. Sometimes water and photography are a bad combination, limiting outdoor photography options when rain, snow or sleet are involved. However, this digital camcorder can go virtually anywhere. The aluminium ... ...be held in one hand during recording without the picture going jagged. Battery life also extremly long and battery is lightweight so spares can easily be transported along with the camera if you require. Sound quality not quite up to the same superior quality of the picture, and can be slightly echoed/fuzzy/disorted but all together a great camera! Would reccomend. ...
Sexy and Functional
Review of Sony Handycam DCR TRV270 by
smooth_criminal_
Advantages: Great audio and visual quality, affordable, lots of features, brilliant zoom
Disadvantages: Not for the seasoned professional
The Sony Handycam DCR TRV270, a Digital8 model (a combination of the Hi8 analogue tape and the digital codec), achieves a perfect balance between high quality and affordability. Not only is this superb video-camera highly functional, boasting an impressive array of different features, its sleek and sexy look makes it a unique and attractive choice. While it is by no means a suitable option for the seasoned professional, it is ideal for the amateur ... ...you would expect from a Sony - polished, compact, and attractive. The various buttons are well situated, with the record and power buttons conveniently placed, and the buttons providing access to the more adventurous features either on the back or neatly positioned behind the LCD display where they cannot get in the way.
Quality
Those who are looking for the highest possible video quality available are best advised to focus on pricier models suitable ...
