My new camcorder
Review of Panasonic HDC-SD9EB-S by jag_man

Advantages: Light wieght, fantastic quality.
Disadvantages: small buttons for navigation.

I purchased this camcorder 2-3weeks ago after some serious scearching on the net to ascertain if this was the best on the market. It turns out its not just the best its fantastic! the recording quailty is superb even when displayed on an SD tv, the sound reproduction is brilliant. My only concern with the unit is the replay on the screen because it is such a small unit some of the controls can be difficult to use, but the menus are straight forward ... Read review

Great HD camcorder at a very reasonable price
Review of Sony Handycam HDR-SR5E by DANIEL.P.FORD

Advantages: Clear, crisp images with vivd colours, no tapes/DVDs needed, price
Disadvantages: Have to use docking station when charging, AVCHD files not widely used

I recently bought this camcorder from Ebay for £440.00. The model that I have is the American model but all the SR5s are universal and you can simply change it to PAL mode in the menu. I been very impressed so far and would certainly recommend this camcorder to anyone that is looking to buy a decent High Definition camcorder. Whats in the box Bundled with the camcorder is a USB cable to connect the camcorder to a computer, (via a docking station) ...
...for charging and an AV connecting cable. As mentioned before a docking station is also enclosed which is used to charge the camcorder and connect it to a computer. The Camcorder The camcorder comes complete with a built in 40 GIG hard drive so there isn't any need for any tapes or a DVD. The camcorder works in the usual way, a record button is located at the rear and you simply press once to start and once again to complete the record and store ... Read review

Sony HDR-UX3E - Top Quality Product
Review of Sony Handycam HDR-UX3E by traveller10

Advantages: SuperSteady Shot allows A1 recording
Disadvantages: None that I could see

This product is superb. I think it is worth evry penny ( prices do vary between suppliers so watch out). I must admit that I found this product be delightfully compact and it was quite simple to use ( at least you dont need a Phd to understand it). Those of you out there who are not the most technically mnded ( sorry I'm so like you ) will like this product. I must say that I found the colours to be far superior to others similar products I have ...
...Definition. It has a built in micro phone and the surround sound makes a delightful change from lesser models on the market. While recording you can take still shots as well and if you are not the steadiest or most confident person in the world then there is no need to worry as the Supersteady Shot takes care of that for you, so you can now impress all your friends with top quality recordings. The battery lasts about 5-6 hours. Top product. ... Read review

Disadvantages: Sorry, cant think of any at the moment.

...or are considering buying this Canon DC50 Camcorder, I recommend you seriously consider buying this fantastic model. It has only been out on the market since March of this year and having owned an older Canon camcorder model, this new edition is an excellent improvement. I prefer the Canon make and have other Canon products as I feel the overall technology and service provided on-line is second to none. The camcorder is a 5.39 Megapixel DVD camcorder ...
