Picture in your pocket
Advantages: Small, 11 mp camera, easy useage Disadvantages: Battery life, fuzzy in dark light
I bought this mini DV as an alternative to shooting videos on my phone, as I often found myself doing that. But I thought, why use a phone when I can buy a dedicated video camera for as little as this cost (£57 from Bonprix but usually costs around £80 which is still cheap). I wasn't expecting it to be that good at this price but I was actually surprised.
The camera looks good. I chose one in a red finish. It is also a case of just pressing the ... ...But it is best if you tweak a bit with the settings first. I chose to have mine in XVGA mode as it is faster than D1 but is still of a watchable quality. You can access these settings simply by pressing the Mode button. To take a picture you just press the button with a little camera on located at the top of the unit and providing you have the flash set to auto, you will see on the screen shows the strobe flash is charging. The first time you take ...

Poor quality - corresponding to the price tag
Advantages: All in one device with good choice of functions Disadvantages: Poor quality results
This is exactly "you get what you pay for" deal. Do not expect to get high quality results. # The camera function comes nowhere close to 5 MP digital camera. Comparing to my Canon 3.2 MP digital and my 1.2 MP Nokia phone, it's most of the time better then the phone, but most of the time worse then the Canon digital compact. My biggest complain would be the shutter lag (about 1 second). Also I was unable to turn off the sound of shutter.
# The digital ...

Brilliant for filming cows
Advantages: Tiny, cheap, cute, battery life, charging dock Disadvantages: Filming in the dark, filming when dancing, ammo in a fight
A brilliant little camera if you get it as cheaply as I did; the 5700 is so unbelievably small that a field mouse could effectively be used as the carry-case. Luckily the camcorder does come with it's own bag and so no field mice need be harmed.
The photos do not show the side of the camera that would normally have a strap for ease of use when filming. This is probably because they don't want you to know that it doesn't have one. It's quite a skill ... ...but you get used to it. Also mine has turned itself off once or twice when filming with the flappy bit closed. This doesnt bother me as I just don't close the flap, but if you're a serial flap-closer then this could be troublesome.
The best thing about this camcorder without a doubt is the battery life. I captured all the best moments of a fantastic weekend in the Scottish mountains and still had enough juice left on Monday to annoy all my hungover ...

A nice little camera, nice and compact and useful. But....
Advantages: Great small compact camera providing incredibly good visuals. Disadvantages: No viewfinder.
The Toshiba Camileo P10 is an excellent substitute for both digital camera and camcorder. The controls are tricky, but once mastered it is extremely easy to use for stills or video. Capacity is excellent. With an 8GB SDHC card it will store over 2 1/2 hours of video at the WVGA setting, or store 3400 photos at the standard (5MP) setting. The WVGA setting uses 60 f/s making fast action smoother on playback. The HD settings are okay, although i feel ... ...rechargeable lithium battery seems to last for over an hour, but a spare one is very useful The only thing i dont like, is that it doesnt have a real viewfinder. Why do camera manufacturers never include these anymore? Its practically impossible to view the screen if the sun is bright, and thats essentially the only way to control the cameras features. Good camera for sure, especially for the money. ...

A Perfect DVD Handy Cam
Advantages: Lightweight, Small, Perfect Disadvantages: None
This mini dvd cam is probably one of the best presents I have ever been bought. Perfectly light weight with a great battery life and amazing quality recording straight to a mini dvd. records to DVD-Ram, DVD-R and DVD-RW, so whatever type of dvd player or computer you use, the discs will be compatible. Has a 30x optical zoom, so can get all the best shots, no matter where you are, and has a flip out lcd screen which turns all the way round and can ... ...out to the side depending on where you are shooting from. Even allows self videoing with full view of yourself. Battery usually lasts me around 3 and half hours, and mini dvds can be bought in all different time amounts for this camera. never had any problems with this camera, and it was supplied with A USB cable, Battery Charger, TV Connecter Cable (AV I think!) Battery and a Charger cable to enable charging whilst filming. I recommend this to all, ...
