Given the range of choice on offer, this is certainly one to consider seriously at the top range of the Standard Definition technology. A very compact device with a 37 x Optical zoom but lacks image stabilisation which is a major draw back when compared to alternative cameras ...
Advantages: Lovely design and seems rugged, nice images Disadvantages: Image stabilisation kicks into destroy the picture if vibration is slightly too harsh
I have just bought one of these cameras and am about to send it back!
Whilst it is beautifully engineered on the outside, the image stabilisation is lacklustre to say the least. OK if held in the hand, yet when it has any form of harsher vibration it makes pictures that are completely unusable.
With the IS turned off it is still the same...
sadly it is a lovely image if on a tripod or hand held, but the stabilisation dramatically lest it all down.

I wanted the higher spec one with the inbuilt memory, but is it slower to download apparently, so for the price of a few extra memory cards far outweigh the slight disadvantages of a lack of inbuilt memory, but would be nice in an emergency, of course ...
Advantages: Value for money Disadvantages: Not good enough for commercial use
Overview:
I think this camera is a great all round choice for people who want a top range video camera without paying ridiculas prices. its about the cheapest you can go before you start to reduce in quality, its right on the border,

Trying to start up video making company:
probably not the best ... ...make high quality videos that will look great on portfolios while keeping some money in the bank.
better than you average camera with great manual focus,
£1300 - 1500 is probably a fair price to pay.
Features:
Av out (great for crane work)
DV firewire out (faster import)
Manual focus ring (simplicity with function)
fold out screen (good for awkward positions)
optional lense hood
microphone input (improoved sound is an option)
sound recording ...
Advantages: Good image and long battery life Disadvantages: Bad instruction for PC connection.
I bought this camcorder 6 months ago. It produces excellent image and very good sound quality. It is good enough for family use with reasonable price. It records every happy moment successfully. It is a small size and stylish looking camcorder. It is not exactly a pocket size camcorder but it definitely won't be a big piece of luggage for your travelling. To avoid damage the camcorder, I ordered a bag as well to protect the device and store ... ...very easy to handle it. It is a quite memory card camcorder. It can use Secure Digital (SD) card and Secure Digital with High Capacity (SDHC) card, which is a popular type of memory card used by most digital device for storage. SD card has capacity up to 4 Giga Byte (GB). SDHC is the new version of this memory card, which has high capacity more than 4 GB. Since it uses memory card, so the batteries life is good and it also does not have the ...
